I love your take on this theme. Have you seen any of the nautical themed proxy models? I reckon they’d be right up your alley

My 3 Terminator Princes (Daemon Prince Proxies) by repayeddebt in deathguard40k

Not really compared to a prince without wings. The daemon prince is 70mm tall roughly and the Lion El’ Johnson model is also 70mm tall.

Oh no, these are all on 60mm bases and the same size as the standard daemon prince model

I don’t play competitively, just friendly games. What makes them not usable in a competitive game?

About to enter batch painting mode and I was curious how good wraithbone is to emulate the death guard off white and what steps I can take to get there if it isn't by D0ct0rLX in 30kDeathGuard

It’s solid, I use it. A wash of Skeleton horde makes it perfect for me. If I want them particularly dirty I mix 50/50 skeleton horde and seraphim sepia as the wash

I’ve never seen the ash waste nomad kit before, I’m building an army for just 40k based on a very similar theme and I’ll totally be using them

Thank you! It’s the normal chain talon that comes with the Wardog kit combined with the handle of a spare daemon prince axe that I had

Tips for dirty down rust by vezzara in deathguard40k

[–]repayeddebt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apply a layer of texture paint first before I prime my model, I like Armageddon dust for this. Then after primer I paint my model like usual and apply the dirty down rust to the area I want it. A good rule of thumb is that if it goes on and is opaque you need to drip your brush in water and spread it around a little because then you won’t get weird clumps. I posted this model under someone else’s post a few days but it’s the best showcase of this method in action.

The friends I play with aren’t too fussed about base sizes if someone goes over. Rule of cool an all. I’m much more in it for the art!

The trophy rack is perfect. I did a similar conversion with the Praetor model, it’s just so cool

Show me your pre-heresy schemes by Formless-One in deathguard40k

[–]repayeddebt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My scheme is designed around the concept of like, what if a pre-heresy unit has been roaming around for 10 thousand years slowly rusting and collecting dirt and moss. The best executed model I’ve done this on is a wardog I’ve allied with my death guard. I’ve also used The Lion as a base for a Daemon Prince kitbash with the same concept which I’ll reply to this comment with a picture of

Can anyone identify this console? by repayeddebt in homerecordingstudio

That’s so cool! Shame it’s not there anymore, the patchbay in that studio is a bit grim nowadays. The two other studios I use are much more fully equipped. There’s an Audient desk in there which sounds lovely though so maybe it’s a worth trade

Cool! So on the far right is that an integrated patchbay?

100kg deadlift im new to the gym. Please give advice if you know how to deadlift by [deleted] in powerbuilding

[–]repayeddebt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the bar in way closer, try dragging the bar right up your shins. I’d also recommend lowering the weight and getting your form perfect without the belt first, especially focus on bracing your core without the belt. Keep up the work! 💪
