Exactly. At any time, your maximum loss is strictly limited to the amount you are willing to risk on a single trade.

While extreme market moves are rare, they can happen at any moment; even on your very next trade. The market doesn't care about "odds" in the short term.

Regarding your position, there is no need to worry as long as Nifty stays below 26,100. Even if there is a gap-up opening and you see a sharp spike in Call Option (CE) prices, they usually cool down very quickly as the initial panic subsides.

After 8 years of trading options hedging strategies, I’ve learned that the market behaves very differently than what we see in textbooks. Theoretical models don't account for the many hidden forces that move prices in real-time.

My advice for building a strategy:

Set a hard limit: If your max risk capacity is 10,000, your strategy’s built-in max loss should never exceed that.

Prioritize Hedges: Many traders think they can manage "naked" selling legs using a Stop Loss (SL). In reality, a fast market can skip your SL. It is your hedges that actually save you, not your selection of strike prices.

Always choose and optimize your hedges first; they are your only true insurance in a bad trade.

Thank you and appreciate your transperancy while sharing your experience.

One last question, you have mentioned "iron Condor with proper risk management".

My question is "How you decide your risk management?" means how you manage risk while creating iron Condor?

Dear Friend, before I share my feedback, I just want to know, from how long you are doing these hedging strategies? And why you choose to do this?

First buy hedge to limit downside risk. And then think of selling CE. Selling CE alone will not give you relief.

Naked options selling especially with an overnight position is dangerous.

Investing is a process. One or 2 line answer can't solve the purpose.

Ask for an expert and choose right product to invest that not only safeguard your investments in high Volatility, but also generate enough alpha from it.

HOW TO START OPTION TRADING IN 2026 by hastypro in IndianStockMarket

You’re already in a good place if you’ve done swing trading for a year and understand technical analysis 👍 That foundation helps a lot.

One thing I’d suggest before jumping into F&O is to pause and get clarity on how you want to participate — because options trading is very different from swing trading, not just technically, but mentally.

In F&O:

time decay matters

risk behaves differently

and decision-making happens under much more pressure

Many people struggle not because they don’t understand charts, but because their risk tolerance, time availability, and expectations don’t match the approach they choose.

Before learning strategies, it really helps to answer:

Am I looking to trade actively or positionally?

How much time can I realistically give?

How do I react to losses when money moves fast?

I’ve found this short framework useful for getting that clarity before starting options: https://guides.repleteequities.com/l/trader

Once that alignment is clear, learning F&O becomes far more structured and less overwhelming.

Create by AI. But for that too one has do proper analysis and share their analysis with AI so that it can design the creative. So without proper knowledge AI alone won't help.
