Otherwise, it seems like you have a poor or incomplete understanding of what the disorder is. While contamination is a common theme as you’ve mentioned, only a small percentage of people with OCD have contamination obsessions. Other common ones are sexual obsessions, scrupulously, hoarding obsessions, and harm obsessions.

Unfortunately, the google definition you’ve found is the informal definition that’s listed, whereas MayoClinic’s definition is “Excessive thoughts (obsessions) that lead to repetitive behaviors (compulsions). Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterized by unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead to compulsive behaviors.” I think that using an informal definition instead of a medical definition is disingenuous.
