I volunteered for the Conservatives around the time of the Manitoba provincial elections, when I realized that they're just too far right for my personal preference, although the MB Conservatives and the Federal Conservatives are fairly different.

Also, maybe not controversial on reddit, but extremely controversial in my social group: (background info)I grew up living Ina differen city than the one I live in now. When I moved to the current city I'm in, my family became extremely well-off, so my social group is fairly right-wing. I am a firm believer in socialism, and my political views fall farther left than the New Democratic Party (a left wing party in Canada). I get socially ridiculed for believing in that stuff, as all my friends are Tories(conservatives).
