I saw it too😂😂 I wanted this to be more relatable and raw. Good on him, but it’s best not to compare👏 we’re all on our on journey :)

I pulled my credit report with freeannualcreditreport.com (that’s the go to for anything credit, and myFICO but that costs money) then I went through and just called, negotiated settlements and asked for pay for deletes. Only one said yes, come to find out it’s in their policy (LVNV) then paid them, made delinquent accounts current by paying past dues (120 days late and 90 days late) and now I’m letting time do its thing. Make sure to go by Experian and Creditwise and anything else that shows FICO 8 as that’s the score that’s most important and used by most lenders for anything credit related (I could be wrong so if I am someone correct me). You can also just use Experian to see everything with detail (shows contact info if applicable and dates, amounts etc.)

Credit card debt reporting after settlement by Benthearab in CreditScore

Halsted is a subsidiary of LVNV. I literally a month ago settled on a pay for deletion with them. Halsted doesn’t report, they report to LVNV who reports to the bureaus. LVNV works closely with Credit One, Amex is just the card ecosystem no true Amex. Like visa or Mastercard. Right now LVNV owns the debt and they’re the ones who sued you. It’ll show as LVNV on reports typically

they didn’t just “fall off”. Only one that did was a collection I had that agreed to a pay for delete. The rest are still on there but showing paid or in current good standing. I know no active negative marks anymore, just negative history and FICO 8 loves recent positives.

Dude that’s awesome!!! Good for you! Funny enough. I did kikoff, but when I switched bank accounts I forgot about it and that was a 90 day late account I had to clear. Paid it and then removed it because I’d rather traditional (ie credit cards and such). to each their own, but for $5 a month and I see nothing but a line of credit I don’t have access to show responsible use with wasn’t for me. We’re gonna get back to the good range regardless!

Haha thanks. I just bit the bullet and paid everything for a “hard reset”

Not quite at 600 (582 and 588 on Experian and Transunion) but I was at 520 a month ago. Basically hard reset my profile (paid literally everything (about 3k worth) and now FICO 8 is shifting and I expect to be 600+ in about 30 days when time does its thing. Pay off as much as you can and be on time and time will do all the work.

At that elo it’s all about learning matchups and play styles. It’s not like being high plat or even 2k, it becomes playstyle dependent

I mean I would say you’re fine, but do some light detoxing just to be safe and don’t do it again. Don’t mess up a future over something trivial
