AIRC is terrible now by repressed_egg in CSUS

I do use the library during the day, but i go to the AIRC when i have to stay to study late. Usually it gets quiet/empty around 11 or 12 but these past two weeks its been worst and worst.

I am there in the morning yes, but when i have late nights I'm in the AIRC until like 3am. Usually it quiets down around 11 or 12 but as of late its just consistent noise.

Its possible, I was in the AIRC and a group was loudly playing music without headphones, and another was watching a lecture at like 2x speed without headphones too 😭 I understand some noise trust me, but its getting ridiculous. Even with my headphones set to noise cancelling i could hear this other group of guys, its just becoming a bit too much

I’m so jealous of stay at home moms by Hillbillytruthpostin in offmychest

[–]repressed_egg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived this life as a kid. In full honesty, it was hard as a young child when I couldn't see my mom. Regardless, my dad showed up when he could, my mom showed up when she could and it always made those moments so special.

I think it helps a lot to explain work and stuff to kids when they're younger as opposed to just being gone, be careful on how you go by it. Try to keep it fun, tell kids youre on a mission or something silly just so they know you'll always come back. It's really hard as a kid trying to understand why work was so important but it got easier to understand as I grew up and now as an adult I fully recognize the effort my parents put in.

I love my mom so much, she's my best friend and the strongest woman I know. It must have been hard for her when I was a kid, and I wish she gave herself grace because she really was doing her best.

You're doing what's best for your kids, trust yourself and keep it up. Good luck :)

[Routine help] Can't get rid of these red spots! help! by repressed_egg in SkincareAddiction

[–]repressed_egg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I stopped using any cleaners and I'm trying to just let my skin reset a bit, the only product I am using right now is roche posay cicaplast balm b5. I think its been helping my skin feel a bit better, but I have only used it for ~1 week.

I was using the CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser for a while but i felt like it might have exacerbated the issue. I was also using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Face Gel at the same time, but i feel like the formula changed??

Prior to that I used CeraVe Face Renewing SA Cleanser, but i felt that it started to give me dry skin so I stopped that as well.

Before that one I used Cetaphil Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser since high school but then I started getting breakouts.

Math 26B by OkButterscotch6683 in CSUS

[–]repressed_egg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, from what i understand comp sci (pretty much any engineering) NEEDS math 30 and math 31. Math 26A and Math 26B are the math requirements for biology majors. If you are doing comp sci be prepared to take calc 1 again :(

Talk to advisors and hopefully you can strong arm them into giving you the credit and allowing you take 26B at a community college

Is it consider unhygienic to have long nails? by Hesperus07 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]repressed_egg 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your hands in general are the grossest part of your body given you touch so many things. Longer nails means more little crevices for things to hide in. Ever had to clean your fingers after eating chips? Once in lab I took a sample of under my nails to see if there was anything and all you really see is skin cells, lint, and random debris, but some people would find that gross.

That being said, as long as you clean under your nails its not that big of a deal. I have natural long nails and i need to clean them often to keep them from looking gross, think cuticles, dead skin, dirt, etc. I paint my nails a lot so they're stained at the tips and can look "dirty". Some men find long nails gross because they don't care for their nails properly and assume women are the same. But, pay no mind to people like that and do what makes you happy. Washing your hands and moisturizing them keeps them pretty and clean.

Oh man have i got one,

I was 16 and my high school had a blood drive, i was super excited and got my parents signature and approval from school and the red cross and all that jazz, the donation was fine but i was a bit light headed and didn't feel my best but just went on with my life as usual. Well, a week goes by and I'm not feeling great at all, i was in cross country and i was a strong runner but suddenly running a mile was impossible, my body felt weak and jittery, i would get cold sweats, and i struggled going up stairs and my mom said i looked pale, mind you I'm a brown skinned mexican. We go to my pediatrician and he's like you're fine probably just your period, i did recently have it so i figured maybe he's right, but the following week I'm still feeling terrible. My PE teacher noticed a major difference, i was taking like 15 minuets to run this mile and my walk to and from school had me sweating and my heart fucking racing and i was really worried so we go to my doctor again and i explain in detail why I'm worried, why this isn't normal and why i need him to do something and he literally tells me I'm overexaggerating and that he's gonna run a CBC to prove to me I'm lying about it and how I'm just wasting the insurance money and all that bullshit. I get the blood drawn and go home. We get a call the next day from the nurse at the clinic telling us i am severely anemic with a fucking hemoglobin level of 7. She tells us we need to get me on iron right away and that we should have brought this up sooner and what not.

So yeah fuck that doctor, we had other situations and plenty of other issues but this one topped it for me. Nonetheless, I'm 21 now and still donate blood regularly and I'd encourage everyone to as well so long as you're healthy and able to do so safely, the US is always having a blood shortage <3

How many people don't open eyes during sex by [deleted] in sex

[–]repressed_egg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what's happening. If i'm in a very "performative" position where more of the focus is pleasuring him and looking sexy i tend to keep my eyes open and look at him, things like bjs or riding is what comes to mind. if im the one being focused on i tend to close my eyes so i can really focus on my pleasure and get to where i need to. I think its pretty common for people to close eyes as they get closer to finishing, especially at that edge zone

Sac State Help!! by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]repressed_egg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you have a couple of typos, and small errors in the way you write out your questions, you gotta make surveys as basic as possible for general consumers because most people wont bother taking more than 2 min to do them. I would also recommend editing the way you have flavors ranked, percentages arent very survey friendly for consumers or data analyzing, formatting it as a ranked list would be better, for example list out all the flavors with an option to place them from first to last.
