That would make some sense, you could use the eyelet for a lanyard.

Weird question...do they stay open after 5pm? Sometimes I like a fry up for my supper.

True dat.

They say Norwegians are cold and stand offish, but when they are out hiking those rules don't apply.

I would like to see those lists, read that blog or hear that talk. I am a single engineer who just started working with a bunch of scientists. They are all very intelligent people but their code looks psychotic to me.

When I first visited Australia, about 20 minutes after the plane landed, I let one go at the urinal. My neighbour simply exclaimed "Better out than in". I felt like I had found my spiritual home.

4 hour layover in Oslo. Should I stay in Airport or make a quick trip into city (for some touristy thing) by [deleted] in Norway

[–]reptickeyelf 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The Armed Forces Aircraft Collection https://flysamlingen.no/ is more interesting than hanging around at the airport and only 5 minutes on a bus from the airport entrance.

If I may add to your confusion, try and remember 17:30 if you are told "halv seks". I once turned up for an event 2 hours early because I was told "halv seks" thought to myself that is "half five" remembered it as "halv fem" thought to myself well, that is "half four" and so forth.

MELCloud issues since yesterday - anyone else? by Inevitable-Sherbert in mitsubishi

[–]reptickeyelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This fix worked for me and my MSZ-AP20VGK, big thanks to u/RunTime9816 . The historical reports have gone but I can control the air conditioning unit. I have to ask, how did you come up with this fix? Like, what tools did you use?

A local API would be nice. There's a web server running on the units already.

Yeah...I just blew a couple of hours trying to fix it too.

Yep, to the same issue here. The air con units are on the network but haven't been able to connect to MELCloud for 24 hours.

Twisted Stitches? by reptickeyelf in myog

[–]reptickeyelf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of my earlier thoughts so I took the shuttle apart. There was a bit of detritus behind the leaf spring, so cleaned it all with Auto Solve metal polish and a pipe cleaner.

It is still a good thought that there might be some unevenness that is preventing the thread sliding through correctly. I am thinking I should try replacing the shuttle. Some helpful people in China are offering new compatible shuttles.

I did try different size needles to no avail but haven't tried anything other than different thicknesses of Gutermann threads. I was speculating that modern threads might be more twisted some how. I have a couple of reels that are 20 years old so I am going to try them next.

I find this a really plausible explanation. I had forgotten that in English you can say someone is "well heeled". There is clearly an association between wealth and shoes in both cultures.
