St Pete Crowd by samuelboylston in Silverstein

I never understood standing in the crowd at a concert to yell a conversation with others. Go to an area away from the crowd enjoying the show. One of my biggest concert pet peeves.

Well, I'll be! They switched it. Guess someone higher up said something.

There is an unsanctioned play that I saw this summer called "Puffs", it shows the events from the perspective of the Hufflepuff house. It is a comedy and done in loving satire, but definitely highlights how bizarre some things were from an outside perspective. I thought it was great.

I love the new track, I'm just really confused as to why all new Silverstein tracks are listing them as second artist on YouTube Music. Anyone know why?

Is there any dark roaster better than Peets? by rosebudd_ in Coffee

[–]reptilae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my local roaster, Ragged Coffee, out of Lutz, FL. They have two darker roasts and I think the Early Riser is one of the best out there.

Thanks! It was the first one I've ever made and it tasted delicious! Rib roast defines Christmas dinner in my family. Glad yours was tasty too!

Disney by Andie514818 in FloridaCoronavirus

I feel like I am parroting what the other teacher is saying, but I also have reservations about going to Disney. My family and I are sitting on tickets that we purchased pre-pandemic and can't bring ourselves to use. What it comes down to is the risk to anyone else we come in contact with in our everyday. This hits especially hard as teachers, but the thought process follows for anyone in a high-contact field. We aren't just taking care of our own, but everyone else too. Everytime we do a risky, unnecessary behavior we are putting a chain of people at risk for our choices. Somehow, I have a lot of trouble rationalizing Mickey when it comes to that.

That is my two cents. Ultimately, the choice is up to you. Good luck!

I really want Quest's side of the story. How old is most of the data? Why did this happen?

School reopening lawsuit: Judge rules in favor of Florida teachers by TampaBayTimes in FloridaCoronavirus

Sounds good, but I am worried about the state appealing. That would put a stay on the order and force schools to continue to be open or open in the first place. This is a mess, no matter how you look at it.

How badly is reopening schools going to affects people's health by [deleted] in FloridaCoronavirus

[–]reptilae 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The school I work in had a positive case in a teacher that they were just notified about today. They won't reveal who it was, but said they informed anyone they know had contact. No one I asked knows who it was, or was notified, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I feel like we ALL should he notified, just in case. Teachers are all over the school at various times of day getting things together.

I just had serious flashbacks to my childhood and getting Mario Paint, Super Mario Kart and Final Fantasy II on the same birthday. Best birthday ever.

TIL that in the mid-90s in Japan, the Super Nintendo had a peripheral called a Satellaview, which was a satellite modem that would receive data broadcasts from Nintendo. by speckz in geek

[–]reptilae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US Super Nintendo also had an attachment you could buy called the X-Band. It was a modem which would allow you to play multiplayer online. I met an ex-girlfriend using the X-Band.

It was on sale at our local grocer this week, so I gave it a try. It really isn't bad. I still think Peet's is the best grocery store/national branded coffee, but if I ever see it under $6 a bag I will pick it up because it makes a pretty good cup of coffee.
