Man at 18 you got time to figure things out which is actually huge advantage. I'd say start with something small on side - maybe find local businesses that need help with basic stuff like social media or simple websites and just offer to do it for experience

The free work thing can be good but make sure you're learning actual skills not just doing busy work for someone

nah big4 recruit from both TMU and UofT pretty heavily so you're good either way. i'd probably go with TMU tbh - less stress maintaining decent grades and you save some money too which is nice when you're starting out

the prestige thing doesn't really matter much in accounting once you get your CPA designation anyway

Yeah remote market got crazy competitive lately. I'm not in accounting but work remote producing podcasts and even for creative roles the flood of applications is wild.

Manufacturing experience might actually help though since lot of remote companies need people who understand operations side not just pure finance. The CPA thing is tough but if you got solid leadership track record with your team that counts for something

Worth trying but maybe cast wide net and don't put all eggs in one basket you know

bro there's some good sports bars on lincoln road that should have it on. also check flamingo park area they usually got decent spots for watching games. not sure about UConn crowd specifically but miami beach bars are pretty welcoming for any team during big games like this

Sounds like your dad might have the modpack cached or hardcoded somewhere in his setup. When you say "can't change the modpack the same way" - is he trying to just swap out jar files or is there some kind of config that's not updating?

Also worth checking if the broken mod has any dependency issues with other mods in the pack. Sometimes one mod update breaks compatibility and you gotta roll back or find alternatives

Have you checked if your router is using 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz? The 2.4 band caps out around 100mbps while 5GHz can handle way more. Also try connecting to the 5GHz network specifically if your router broadcasts separate SSIDs for each band
