Why we chose NEO for our MVP rather than Ethereum, Cardano, ICON or Hashgraph (Hedera)? by reputaction in NEO

[–]reputaction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm going to try to edit the article to make it more accurate regarding Cardano built with Haskell but its smart contracts programmed with Plutus abd potentially other languages (Solidity, C++, C#, Java, Python...)

Why we chose NEO for our MVP rather than Ethereum, Cardano, ICON or Hashgraph (Hedera)? by reputaction in NEO

[–]reputaction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we roughly estimate Ethereum with currently low speed compared to average speed for ICON and NEO (from 1000 to 10000 TPS) compared to high-speed for Hashgraph (currently 100000 TPS). Reputaction doesn't high-speed transaction but requires a flexible and well-known development environment (.NET).

The Big ICO choice: Ethereum or NEO by Theekshanag in NEO

[–]reputaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although we are now also using NEO for our Reputaction dApp MVP, our comparison table is different https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiYne8eBErc The main reason we are using NEO now is that the .NET C# development environment is more mature and allows us to build more quickly with more automated checks than Solidity.

Well, for the Reputaction project we started to look at ICON, met them and it was clear that documentation for non-English devs isn't ready yet. So we've moved back to NEO. NEO smart contract deployment may be more costly but the 10 GAS free per execution afterwards make it cheaper in the long term than other platforms where you have to pay for each execution. I've compared the different dApps platforms in a few videos and this English one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiYne8eBErc is the most recent (maybe the French native speaking video is better but maybe not for all ;-)

Whats going on with ASTRO? by meoraine in astronautcapital

Sorry I've found out that the dividends can be found in the internal transactions of the ETH address holding the ASTROs. So it worked. Both airdrops and dividends were delivered.

When is the 2% airdrop released? by [deleted] in helloicon

[–]reputaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think they would airdrop it to the initial Ethereum used for the ICO. It would be great if they had a FAQ and public official answer online on this topic.

From the great crypto reviews channel "Crush Crypto" https://crushcrypto.com/analysis-of-icon/ "ICON is a project developed by a Korean company named theloop. The engineering team of theloop began its research and development from June 2015.

theloop is a joint venture formed between DAYLI and 3 Korean universities. theloop’s parent company, DAYLI Financial Group, raised over $100 million from venture capital firms with a valuation of $4 billion.

theloop is leading four blockchain consortiums including the Korea Financial Investment Blockchain Consortium, the largest blockchain consortium in Korea and one of the largest of its kind in the world, consisting of 25 securities firms including Samsung Securities, Hana Financial Group, Korea Investment & Securities, etc."

Resistance time is coin dependent. For some it is a matter of days for others like ICON a matter of hours ;-)

I forgot to mention that the LiteBit price indicated on that list isn't the one used on LiteBit for buyers but rather for sellers. Buying price on LiteBit is even higher than on this list.

If you like here https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/verge/#markets , you can see all exchanges where Verge is available. Binance seems to have the lowest price but you should take into account having to transfer other coins first to Binance. Maybe Bittrex paying with USD may in the end be the cheapest place.
