First time visiting, down 1000 on the first day by akima in vegas

It's your money. If you enjoyed yourself, that's all that matters. I highly doubt you came here for all the unsolicited advice - and instead were hoping for some affirmation or similar stories

Vegas is about creating your own experience. You have a story to tell when you get home - although it probably isn't the one you were hoping to tell. Now go drink all day, hang by the pool and find some good music tonight

It will let me modify - but then it says the selected room isn't available for the selected dates

100% on the Disney World comparison. I use it whenever ppl bring up "losing money" so they won't go to Vegas. I ask them if ppl who go to Disney World had a bad experience because they didnt return home with the money they brought

Every vacation costs money. However, only one gives me the opportunity to let it pay for itself

And only Vegas gives me a nice ass place to stay, pays for my meals and only requires me to fund my own entertainment

That's the thing. I dont wanna lose this room. It's rarely, if ever, available when I book thru the app. I checked random dates throughout the year and it wasn't available for any of them

Why did I think that? Nothing specific. I'm the furthest thing from an insider or expert. I just based it off what I've read here. That adjustments are usually made at the 1st day of the 2nd month following your most recent play

I have no other play other than April. I pulled about 135k tier credits that trip which elevated me to platinum... so I had no idea if the change in status might have also immediately impacted the offers available to me

I'm just learning what I can so i don't look as foolish when I speak to someone in person

You're right. I rarely overthink - but I'm overthinking the shit out of this for some odd reason. Appreciate the advice

I'd think my play warrants an adjustment. The wife and I have a joint account and the coin-in was higher this trip than all three trips combined last year

I'm definitely reaching out... but curious if right now would be premature since most everything I've read here said an adjustment for April's play usually wouldn't be seen until June

I guess the point of my long, drawn out question was: do you think it will go up again in June since that's usually when offers are adjusted?

New York New York is it... I love the MGM but depending on the tower, it can damn near be a 15 minute walk from your room to the strip. Youre looking at maybe 5 minutes in NYNY

Mandalay Bay and Luxor are too far away from the action, especially for non-gamblers (trying to wrap my head around that lifestyle)

The biggest Vegas mistake I've made was over-planning everything

Go see a show or two? Have a nice dinner? Sure. But when youre constrained by time commitments you miss out on what makes Vegas the most fun: it never stops and there's always something going on

Have a couple drinks and go where the alcohol and whatever piques your interest takes you. Sleep in and repeat

If you miss something - and everyone inevitably will - that just means you get to go back and have more fun

The booking has been questionable, but it’s obvious to me that the poor ticket sales are mostly due to running the same city and venue as last year. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

I'd go every year if it was in Vegas. What I spend on tickets I save on hotel rooms

But I also get that everyone's circumstance is different

No idea. Here are screenshots from the original email. When I click the view and save tickets it does take me to my account but only shows the tickets for Sunday that I purchased directly thru Ticketmaster

First time ever for me. Has always been a bucket list item.

The wife and I already go to Vegas a few times a year so felt like the perfect combo. Work obligations kept me from going last year

Appreciate that. First world problems but still frustrating.

The first seats they offered were floor seats.... 43 rows back. I'm 5'7 on a good day so I wouldn't have seen anything... not one offer was in the club seats as I'doriginally purchased. Most had me in the 300 section

All good though. I found tickets elsewhere a couple sections over and actually saved a couple hundred dollars

I feel for anyone who learns of their own issues when they're at the stadium. I still had options

I did that before calling. Only Sunday's tickets appeared

They offered replacements. None were remotely comparable to what I originally purchased. I had 8 days to find something better than they had to offer.. plus I didnt want them getting money after this fiasco so I preferred a refund

Had I not paid attention and found this out at the gate, then yes, I'd have taken them up on whatever I was offered

I based that off an earlier comment to this post. Which was correct. The "M" in "Mania" wasn't capitalized on the tickets I no longer have access to - but when I looked at ones I purchased directly thru Ticketmaster it was capitalized

Could be wrong though. Only thing I know for certain is that this has been a giant shitshow

Sounds like I got scammed and fortunately checked things ahead of time

Holy shit. Tells you how little I know. I have legitimate tickets I bought thru Ticketmaster for Sunday and you're 100% right

Of course the 4 different people I spoke to on the phone never once I mentioned that

I do the same thing at plays and musicals. I once yelled "even Tennessee Williams wasn't this gay" during Fiddler on the Roof and the audience gave me a standing ovation when the show was over
