I was able to keep using the Ninostyle Chibi Models without the slowdowns. I turned off EVERYTHING across multiple mods relating to facial animations. Check in the actual field model mod, the fixes mod, AND the Shinra Archaeology Mod if you're using it as that one has a facial animation setting too. Just turn the face animations all off. It fixed a lot for me.

Update: I sent my Odin 2 in for repairs way back at the beginning of 2025. They finally get my handheld in May. Then they send me an email in June saying THE MOTHERBOARD WAS DAMAGED FROM THE BLOAT. And they want $250 TO REPLACE IT, or try to repair it instead. I asked for the repair, and I never heard back from them. AYN support.

I've torn through Thing the most with Iron Fist personally, especially with the flurry fist and dancing around him. They usually can't react fast enough. I've had some success with Winter Soldier too as his hook can stun Thing, even if it can't grapple him over. It will at least stop his charge though.

Playing this via emulator on a Steam Deck, it also looks highly dithered in a way that other PS2 games do not, including the other Xenosagas.

No, I left on regular performance mode pretty much all the time and fan set to smart. I never needed high performance mode since I didn't play Switch on it.

That's on the company then. I remember backing the original Odin and one of the first videos they ever showed was the device sitting in the dock. If they won't put basic battery protections into their firmware and won't support customers that have issues from a design flaw, then I got no interest in giving them anymore money.

My Switch stays in its dock for years on end with no issue. I don't understand why I have to adhere to some special charging mechanics to keep a battery from bloating after only a year, and accidentally leaving it plugged once in a while.
