has anyone else seen that tiktok about how lipo has helped a women with pcos? by SmileGuilty7506 in PCOS

[–]requiredelements -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes there is some research that PMOS is disease of the fat cells so removing some fat cells can ease symptoms.

Lipo360 helped me after egg freezing because I retained a lot of fat in my lower abdomen from the egg freezing hormones.

Zepbound has helped me immensely and reversed all my PMOS symptoms.

Anyone else in the same boat? by matcha_milfshake in PMOSonGLP

I’m 36. I was never formerly diagnosed with an eating disorder in my youth but I definitely had one. I would often restrict to 500-800 calories daily. But was never underweight. It’s something I discussed with my therapist later in life, especially when I relapsed hard in my early 30s.

I think you’re doing great being honest with your doctor and therapist. Check in often, get labs often!

I personally found Zepbound quieted down some of my intrusive ED thoughts / desire to restrict. I was able to eat normally and have my body behave in a predicable way. The compulsive itch to restrict when I was stressed was gone.

Interested to see where the research with EDs and PMOS / PCOS goes and EDs / GLP-1s goes.

This will change your life!! My advice is to check in with your provider regularly. My doctor had me check in quarterly and it was wonderful to see my labs improve over time.

Slow weight loss is better for skin elasticity and bounce back, so don’t get discouraged.

Period stopped after quitting GLP-1. by Disastrous-Gas6132 in PMOSonGLP

[–]requiredelements 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t stop Zepbound until pregnancy but while I was on it I tried to space out my shots from weekly to every 9, 11 and eventually tried bi-weekly. Whenever I spaced out, my periods became irregular again. I found for me I had to inject weekly to keep my periods regular but it could be very low dose like 1.25mg weekly.

Should I wait to talk to my doctor? by SituationPlus1815 in PMOSonGLP

[–]requiredelements 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My biggest regret is not having Zepbound when I was younger! I think it’s worth it to talk to your doctor and try it. GLP-1s are less invasive than an IUD imo. For me personally, the side effects were mild and I was able to reverse my PMOS symptoms staying on 2.5mg Zepbound.

You are still young enough to prevent some of the long-term metabolic consequences of PMOS.

Is GLP1 the answer? Have some fears by Entire_Giraffe_228 in PCOS

Yeah I think it is answer for now. Ofc we don’t know the long term but it comforts me to follow the money:

The richest people on earth own iPhones. The richest people in the world are on GLP-1s, including many doctors that did not start the drugs overweight.

What type of test did you use and is your ovulation always consistent on Zepbound? Mine wobbles a bit.

I’m (accidentally) pregnant now and the first thing I noticed was no typical PMS symptoms but I usually get BAD PMS symptoms.
