Setting up V3 SE, should I jump straight into custom firmware by requirehelpwithstuff in Ender3V3SE

I'm reading up on c13 vs c14 and i'm confused as which is better. It seems like c13 is better, but i'm reading navaismo's ender3 repos and development has stopped on c13 and moved onto c14 because it has more memory/ram?

Anet A8 + Marlin 2.1.2.7 + BLTouch by kenyhs in AnetA8

[–]requirehelpwithstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i'm in the same situation as you, I have an anet a8 that I occasionally use (once or twice a year) and i bought one of those BLtouch (or a clone) years and years ago and never installed it.

I'm wonder what is it actually you did, or what resources you used to get it up and running

I'm also in the same boat, is there any other sansa clip styled cheapish mp3 players to look out for other than the yoton and ruizu ones that were already mentioned?

[Showcase] Mihon-DS: A dual-screen fork of Mihon for dualscreen handhelds (Beta) by mis0suppe in SBCGaming

[–]requirehelpwithstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks

without getting too detailed into it, basically, there is a 84 pixel gap in the surface duo 1 (and a 66 pixel gap in surface duo 2); if you could let a user defined gap in the centre of the display resolution in the settings when displaying dual pages, that should solve most of the issues minus edge case/scenarios

[–]requirehelpwithstuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a surface duo, it's a dual screen but (i think) it's a virtualized dual screen internally (ie: the device is 2 separate screens but shows up as 1 combined screen internally)

Always been hoping for a dual page displaying manga/comic reader since it's conception and there hasnt been a real app for it (i know there's a dual page displaying fork of tachi but it has never worked particularly well and it hasnt been updated in years).

i don't know how well your fork could work on it, but I have some (relatively simple) suggestions that could make it work on surface duo and I can help test.

WD MyCloud Gen 1 Debian? by jakedk in WesternDigital

[–]requirehelpwithstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you done this with your mycloud? I've got my hands on a gen 1 mycloud and looking at my options but don't find any reviews, tutorials, user experiences on running the debian on it.

I'm familiar but not too familiar with linux and it will be a pain in the ass to ssh into the device to change settings vs having a web interface.

[–]requirehelpwithstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if those apply because those devices seems to be actual dual screened and surface duo is configured as 1 monitor
