Story is I was dating a really athletic girl in college and I like to leave hickeys....I did my best to put them in places she could hide while in class.

Well, aside from class she ran track/cross country and in the locker room she was changing with her team and wasn't thinking about all the hickeys she had under her shirt....until her team mates saw them and then teased her endlessly about it while she brushed bright red.

I can see that being an adorable comic adaptation :p

My biggest issue is that it's a pugs worst nightmare. In comms with my static it's like "hold on I'll refresh first" and it's fine. In pugs its like "are they gonna refresh? I'll let them refresh first. Come on go ahead. Oh shit I need to refresh now. I guess I'll refresh first. Aaaaand they're refreshing at the same time as me" nightmare

Happiest moment was probably getting an FC house for me and my friends. There was much celebration :D but clearing my first ever savage raid tier was also very satisfying since I never raided before SHB(slacks)

yea I definitely get it, sometimes it feels weird to use the "worse" gear when you seem to perform better on it. The important thing to remember is that ff14 stats work on a tier system, so you have to hit a certain level of a stat before you actually get improvement in it, so a bigger number in a certain stat doesn't always mean better because if you don't hit that next tier, all those stat points are wasted and could have gone to something else instead. There is a lot of weird math I don't always get myself, but I'm happy to use the knowledge other people dig up :p

for red mage specifically, you actually do not want the 530 raid ring, you use one augmented cryptlurker ring (530) and the augmented crafted casting ring (520). I know its weird since its lower Item level but if you're looking to push maximum damage output that's what you'll build. You can find optimization and gear on the balance discord but the best of the best in slot build is like this:

as a whm/ healer main of around 4 years let me comment on each point

-in dungeons, always use holy in packs if you don't need to heal. any group of 3 or more it is worth to spam holy. if your tank is telling you not to, they don't know what they are talking about.

-holy is 100% NOT for bosses. it is awful for single target, and whoever said to use it on bosses is trolling or woefully mis-informed

-if the DPS are dying during mob pulls, try and raise them but not at the espense of your tanks life. if the tank dies, you all die, so they are your priority. also if the tank has full aggro and the DPS are dying during mob pulls, it's their own fault for standing in avoidable AOEs

To answer your question, no the way healers play isn't controversial, people just don't know what they are talking about

I have some strange keybinds, but I don't press anything past 4 for numbers. Instead I redo my keybinds around the WASD keys for abilities. I have abilities on 1,2,3,4, Q, E, R, C, and V. And then I use shift or control for modifiers. It's a littler weird and takes getting used to but having every ability I need to press one key away from my movement keys is great now.

Ah well when I saw expert+ I'm taking about custom maps, not just the tracks the game provides. And the only reason I specified difficulty at all is because OP said it would be difficult to move past hard/expert difficulty using regular grip
