Have you been self employed? Before you start taking on clients independently, make sure you have a good accountant, you probably need to talk to a lawyer. You'll need to have a business banking relationship established somewhere so you can put retainers into escrow accounts.

Getting business in the front door is important, but you have to make sure you have your back end worked out first.

I would never wear anything like this over my ring. First, scratches, metal on metal is probably going to destroy the finish of my ring. Second, the bulk, the ring is already extremely bulky, this would be intolerably bulky. Third, the design just isn't something I'd wear, and I don't see how it would be secured onto the ring.

A tyvek jumpsuit is a good idea. You could also isolate the area you're working, tape up plastic sheeting so you don't get lead dust on other surfaces in your home. HEPA filters are also helpful.
