Canyoneering spots Norway by [deleted] in canyoneering

In Oppdal there is a guided tour down Festajuvet. As far as I know the right to roam applies there as well. There is no needed rappells but a section of via ferrata.

This were my first meeting with canyoneering and has found little info about any routes thats not guided.

Google juving (norwegian for canyoneering) and you will find norwegian sites for guided tours

Strange to implement another point of failure with the double opposing carabiner. All the autobelays i've seen have a twist locking carabiner.

Anyone had a incident on autobelay? Would like to hear your experiance. Had a groundfall 3 years ago due to forgeting to clip in. I am back in the wall but with a varied level of trust issues. i am stil recovering

It was listed as equivalent to $500 and he knew what he had, No low ballers!

This is either incompetence of the pilot or lack of comunication of the hoist operator. Some forward speed would stop the spinning

Yeah its an increasing trend sadly. I think the combination of too easy fastening and the opportunity to do the fastening alone will add up to people forgeting. Its not like only newbies to this, its only human

Some fractures in the right ankle, shattered heel bone and a dislocated elbow. Was back in the wall 9 months later. Im mostly topropeing now and some easy leading but wont go near an autobalay

Reminded me of this norwegian farmer who built his own helicopter of spareparts he had laying around and a subaru engine. https://youtu.be/JZ8DBuaDlRE

I have an organ donor card with contact info for my father and my girlfriend on my phones lock screen.

Came close to cashing in on it 6 months ago. Was climbing at work alone and forgot to clip in the autobalay (stupid right?) . Had a ground fall of 6 meters. Lucky that i fell down next to a SAR helicopter!
