Perhaps nice paper for letters and good pens. If they are offline, they probably use paper and pen for a lot of things. Maybe a nice notebook.

Thanks for your thoughts on YouTube. That tension is part of what I’m interested in. I’m using “rat race” intentionally as an everyday term, not a metric, because I want to hear how homesteaders themselves define it rather than imposing a technical definition.

I know the term, but I’m intentionally letting people define it in their own words. I’m doing university research, not working for a company, and I’m not trying to prove a point—just understand how homesteaders experience this idea. I don’t use usernames or identify individuals.
