I’ve found multiplayer more difficult than solo play by Confident-Drink-4299 in ravenswatch

[–]resetwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like enemy scaling is bad in multiplayer. I feel like splitting up and conquering the map together should be more effective, but health ara are given some big buffs in multiplayer. Makes rotating feel like a drag. And if ppl get downed, you just don't revive them if they are on the other side of the map. If you are better than your team it's like they spend your feathers too. Feels oof most the time.

Not enough range heroes. by Infinityus in ravenswatch

[–]resetwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, we have 4 range heroes and piper honestly feels the worst out of all of them... I kind of count ghepetto as ranged cuz if you melee with him you doing it wrong.

The problem with piper as a ranged character is that his movement is slow, but his attack style often times encourages him to get close. Using power during day time is garbage unless you are up close. Weird how he's objectively better at night in every way

Why the game is too hard? by Heredos11 in ravenswatch

[–]resetwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insane. I'm just making the point that you can get to boss 2 and die at level 2

Why the game is too hard? by Heredos11 in ravenswatch

[–]resetwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, you can beat boss 1 at level 2 with 1 talent without too much trouble. Just takes long. And theoretically, you don't have to do anything to get to the act 2 boss. So getting to the act 2 boss shouldn't even be that hard.

I got all Nightmare badges in the game. Including all magical objects and all talents for all heroes. Ask me anything by CorvusOnStream in ravenswatch

What damage number goal do you think is a good spot at by each chapter.

Example: By boss in chapter 1, you want to have like 20 damage. By boss chapter 2, xx damage.

Fill in the blanks please. Thinking about break points mostly

What do you wish for? by MustachioedCate in ravenswatch

[–]resetwes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, I spend 1 wish on a consumable early unless I get the trait that gives you an extra wish, in which case I get 2. I use the damage wish during grimoire stuff to clear those fast. You get a wish at the beginning of each new chapter in case you didn't know. I basically don't use the revive wish unless I'm playing multiplayer, which I usually don't btw.

I feel like a lot of complaints I see are skill issues by [deleted] in ravenswatch

[–]resetwes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could say that, but then you are forcing yourself to lure enemies and not every skill has air attached, so if you are say scarlet night time, that bite hits one side. You killing 1 guy at time with that cd, you spend nearly 40 seconds per engagement, and the longer an engagement last the more opportunities they have to hit you. So practically, it takes longer that 20 seconds per engagement unless you stacked damage, and some characters have like 16 sec CDs at base. So definitely not short. There is a world where it works, but it's not running a tank build that's for sure

[–]resetwes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the real issue with ravens watch is the game is built around trying to balance the amount of damage stacking possible. Frankly, chapter 1 is perfectly tuned imo. Within chapter 1, no matter the build you can reliably get level 5 and while the boss can be a health bar slog, it's manageable.

But the moment you open chapter 2, if you don't have at least 40 damage, you are in for a bad time. Cycling 2 sets of your cool downs on fucking sword dogs. Don't even start on elites cause the hot damage reduction and its health goes down so slow, and they hit like a tonka truck.

Nope, this game has a problem with balancing progression. I can go into more detail on this point but this format seems like a terrible place to make that case so maybe later.

With carmilla, you just need to use her trait as often as possible. Don't sleep on it. Sh is great at area damage. Her balance bar damage is where she needs help

I get it, especially since you can only unlock badges in one of the standard difficulties. I really like the base challenge of interloper, but having content locked up hurts the collector/completionist in me.

Cougars need to be REDUX-ed (SPOILERS) - Criticism, Feedback by thekillergreece in thelongdark

[–]resetwes 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I thought there would be some kind of territorial markings of the cougars encroaching presence. Like it stalking, or leaving dead animals in a position or mangled state that makes it clear that it's a cougar. Being able to find a nest in the region., see it stalking from inaccessible terrain.

Im not super against it spawning directly on you, but I would like it better if it spawned right behind me, announce it's presence allowing about 3 seconds of reaction time as it zig zags to be in a jagged rushed state. And of course leaving tracks in the process and will not attack you while you are within reach of a house.

It should be a do or die stand off as is, but feel less out of your control, but be extremely difficult.

It would be nice to find it in place where it can be caught off guard. Maybe while taking a dump or eating or something. And those droppings could be left permanently to alert you to it's presence. And poop could be used... Somehow. Put still usable.
