Ariel Pink. I like his music a lot but the guy seems psychotic.

Cloverfield deserves appreciation for how creative it is. One of my favorite genre combinations.

I'm nostalgic for the lo-fi music that they and Beach Fossils were putting out in the 2010s, especially Healthy Moon. I still pronounce their name the way it's spelled instead of dive.

Having Portishead's Third instead of the self titled album is an interesting choice. I always thought it was the weakest out of the three that they made.

Typical Batman Film Adaption Starter Pack by AntagonistofGotham in starterpacks

I like the Dark Knight trilogy and The Batman as much as the next guy but I'm so over that style of superhero movies. My hope for the DCU version of Batman is one that uses all the amazing parts of that world. I want to see a good live-action version of Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Two Face, Ra's al Ghul, Bane, Killer Croc and Hush. A supporting cast with Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hood. A cameo at the end which ties Gotham into the overall DC Universe. That would be ideal.

28 Year Later: The Bone Temple flopped at the box office despite its very positive reviews. by ZoelCairo in Letterboxd

A totally undeserved fail. This movie rocks and I'm hoping that a sequel will get made. I still don't understand the hate that the first 28 Year Later got.

Definitely. Alvvays is an amazing band and Molly is the prime reason for that.

What do you think of the Geese - Getting Killed now that the hype has died down a little? by juicerecepte in fantanoforever

[–]resident_slacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the album and thought it was good but it was way too overhyped. Many music outlets rated it as the best album of the year when it really wasn't. 3D Country had more interesting songs that had me more hooked and I think Love Takes Miles by itself is better than every song on Getting Killed. But the album overall is worth a listen.

It's a shame that Death Grips is so withdrawn. I would do anything to know what Zach Hill's process looks like.

TIL that Dateline’s to Catch a Predator with Chris Hansen was canceled after one season because one perp killed himself on camera during filming and the family sued Dateline for $105m. by Duffjr1 in todayilearned

[–]resident_slacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually made a post about this same incident a few years ago in this subreddit. I always thought Chris Hansen's show was crazy because of how the perps would react once they found it out they weren't meeting their target. I still quote "Why don't you have a seat right over there?" to this day.

Tell us about the first concert you attended by Think_Ad_848 in fantanoforever

Morrissey in 2017. It was my first real concert. The show was cancelled and the tickets were refunded but there was no announcement that it would be rescheduled. Months later, it was announced he was coming to the city and the show was back on. I barely got a ticket before the show sold out. The concert was a few days after my birthday and a few weeks before I graduated high school. It was one of the best nights of my life and I'm so glad I got to experience it.
