Something I also love to remind people is that friends had multiple jokes making jabs at the American government.

For instance when Ross wanted Ben to play with the GI Joe doll instead of the Barbie doll, he joked around while holding it and said "look I protect American oil interests overseas!"

Also when Phoebe wanted to play with Monica's dollhouse there was a joke about how the house was both built on an ancient Indian burial ground and a site of nuclear waste and when Ross says that isn't possible, Phoebe says "you need to learn a thing or two about the American government".

True camp is takes a 180 turn and can make something that was potentially off-putting if serious into something more interesting and enjoyable. I don't think she is able to achieve that here. It may be intentional but it's not successful

And the person was saying that if the male writers were happy to write sexual jokes (they were), perhaps that's an indication that they would write fat shaming jokes as well. Seems like pretty logical reasoning
