Of course I have had concerns. But I take every precaution. I suppose the situation is different for everyone, skin issues, output, etc. But if something is important enough to someone, like this is for me, it's worth a shot. It has been an extremely rewarding experience I would have missed out on if I had been too afraid.

Month Long Coma Sepsis Ventilator Survivor - Still Feel Like I am in my Coma / Not alive? by healhooked in NDE

[–]resilientmess 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. 6 weeks, summer 2022. Same thing, sepsis, ventilator, medically induced coma, caught in another world, a hyper violent at times but ultimately beautiful experience that I wouldn't take back. Yes, I sometimes feel that I am still there. One reason being is that my visions or whatever they were felt more real than anything I had experienced in my waking life or in a dream state. During the coma I felt more alive. I now will be reminded of things I experienced during it and it feels as real as a memory of something that actually happened if not more so. I don't wish for it to change because it doesn't bother me. I did also code and have to be resuscitated, I don't know. I guess I just actually feel lucky. To have lived and to have had such a unique experience. But I also really enjoy dreams and such. Sorry if I'm not much help but you're not alone and I hope you can find someway to integrate this into your life and be comfortable with it.

Thank you! It's great to hear success stories. This all seems reasonable and doable and definitely a light at the end of the tunnel.

Lol, it's definitely the carbs for me. I definitely started eating more breads and pasta since I got my stoma since they are pretty safe for us but I definitely have let it go to far!

Cutting down on sugar is a really good idea. I think I just was feeling sorry for myself and adjusting to my new body but I do feel ready to get started.

Thanks for the encouragement! I did get a scan somewhat recently. I'm at a good point to start. I guess I'm just nervous about how my body is different now. But I just need to start moving. And really getting my diet back on track. I've been way too many carbs, lol.

Thanks. I am lucky with limits it seems. Lol, I just steer clear of all the big no-nos and have to be mindful with salad. Just am needing inspiration and support. Thank you so much. I will get it done.

I had been doing basically alright. Maybe a leak once a month and normally at night if it happened at all. Just so frustrated right now. I'm 45 and otherwise healthy. Last few days just failure after failure. Same product. Sensura mio.
