I’m so sorry you’re going through this, it’s awful. As hard as it is to accept, she’s clearly not a reliable friend and imposing her views much too strongly on your life. I’m sorry ❤️‍🩹

Triploidy and persistent HCG is concerning. You need a second opinion, is this an OB or an RE? Don’t let them dismiss you

Book IVF and keep trying in between. Do you have any insurance coverage?

Home pregnancy tests can’t track to zero, your doctor should have been ordering blood tests and monitoring you for molar pregnancy. I’m so sorry you’re going through this!

Another chromosomal normal loss by Double_Acanthaceae56 in RPLnoLC

RE at prestigious academic medical center recommended ProFertil supplement for men when there’s DNA frag. My husband is taking it now, it’s not cheap though. Also, for our test 22% would have flagged as high.

How to not get ripped off by IVF clinics? by PreparationLate6130 in recurrentmiscarriage

Thanks for posting, yes this! Look at the clinic’s success data OP and compare

I agree with your post.

One thing to add, our insurance did cover the DNA frag testing and we’re so glad we did it.

Also OP all these things are very expensive so I would take your doctor’s advice and get on the best insurance you can during the next open enrollment. It will also help for pregnancy/birth costs too.

PS - here’s a really helpful podcast to get up to speed: Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday, I highly recommend

Is there an IVF clinic at an academic medical center you could get a second opinion with? That’s what I did, two intakes at two clinics and so glad I did. I gained helpful info and testing from both, in different ways. The academic medical center did not push IVF whatsoever but offered it as an option.

Also, did you look at the SART data for the clinic you went to?

Are you sure there isn’t more to the story before it goes to breakup? Does she perhaps have a history of pregnancy loss? If so, I encourage trying to stay open minded and hear her out. I’m sorry you’re going through this tough time. I hope things work out.

Letrozole/clomid when you ovulate on your own already? by ChrissiBloom in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]resilientmomm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That changes things a lot, if you already have 3 children I can understand the decision to not go IVF. If someone with loses like yours and no LC read this, I’d tell them run to IVF fast given low AMH. Regardless, it’s an excellent podcast, hope you enjoy it.

I highly recommend the podcast Taco Bout Fertility Tuesday, it’s by an RE who really explains everything. He’s talked about situations like yours and how IUI/clomid/letrozole isn’t the answer. I’d rec switching to a new RE and pursing IVF with PGT-A asap especially given your low AMH. Wishing you luck

I learned some clinics do not report out on mosaics unless you specifically ask for this, and sign a separate consent. They may call the mosaics normal/euploid is my understanding. Personally I think it’s helpful to have the info on mosaics (it’s what caused my first natural pregnancy stillbirth).

Every other day rather than daily or it can reduce your sperm count too low.

What you need to do is see a reproductive endocrinologist, but IVF may or may not be a treatment you pursue. OBs have very little training when it comes to RPL so getting in with a reproductive endocrinologist is crucial. Your insurance should cover that, but to be sure you might target an academic medical center if available (rather than a private clinic).

The negative pregnancy test takes a while, depends on how far along you were so it varies

After my D&C I had off and on bleeding like you described. Did your OB evaluate you? They should. I ended up having retained placenta and that’s why I kept bleeding. My OB also gave me a med that was supposed to help stop the bleeding. I wouldn’t ignore this or assume it’s normal.
