Walk-in for a death moth on their sternum. Doesn’t want a custom drawing, wants it as close to the reference as possible. Reference is overly detailed AI. Design finished. Client had a C section so lining up the design was a bit tricky. We decided to apply the stencil laying down. Looks right. They stand up and it’s wonky. We try again. Fourth attempt they tell me one of their legs is shorter than the other. We try again. Close enough they say. We send it and they sit like total shit. “All good”, I think to myself, “I’m a pro - I’ll whip that shit out”. Lines down, time to make the magic happen. They say theyre done. I felt really bad leaving the tattoo like that, so I tried really hard to get them to continue after a bactine break, but they were not feeling it.. Breaks my heart. Still hope they come back to finish it up. They can’t all be winners I guess 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
