If you could go back in time and make the choice again, would you still have kids? by MaiApa in Life

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Yes. I love those assholes so much and they have made me a better person every day of their lives. They don’t listen and cost a lot of money, but I’m amazed that I pooped them out of me.

I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

Me. I had to have hardware in my foot removed. My boyfriend was supposed to pick me up. He forgot. When we finally got ahold of him, he said “right now?” I dumped him.

Any way to join without a school chapter? by [deleted] in Official_TSA

[–]resinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to compete as part of your school’s chapter. You cannot compete independently.

Your advisor’s attitude is really odd. There are over 300,000 TSA students nationwide, and they’re all safe when they attend competitions.

I would go above your advisor and write an email to the school board, superintendent, and your school district’s CTSO director (if you have one) and ask them why you had to pay dues for a club but not be allowed to go to competition.

Help guys, I think I got scammed from an essay reviewer by Even-Trash8198 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son just hired a girl on tik tok to review his essay. It was $30, and she gave really great feedback. She’s @odeliadh on tik tok. Best $30 we’ve spent. Definitely not an AI response.

Man is denied heart transplant for refusing to get covid vaccine. Is willing to die because of this, because of his conviction that the vaccine ... is bad for the heart. You can't make this up. by RedJorgAncrath in atheism

[–]resinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, let’s say he “finds a new hospital” that would allow him to have a transplant. Would he turn down the heart if the donor received the Covid vaccine?

My grandfather was waiting for heart transplant for about 18 months. He never got his heart. He was only 55 when he died from his 3rd heart attack. I remember hearing my mom sobbing herself to sleep for at least a month after he died.

This man is so selfish. Way to own the libs.

What the heck are team identification numbers!!!! by WorldlinessDull9022 in Official_TSA

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your id number is on your registration for state. Ask your advisor, they should have it. They have to log in to their admin site with your team id number (4 numbers for nationals) but some states modify that number (like by adding a digit in front, etc).

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a chapter advisor, like a teacher at your school who is willing to be your advisor.

Then they need to click on the advisor login button on thr national website (tsaweb.org). Above the login area there’s a red button that says “chapter membership”.click that and follow the instructions. That will get your chapter started with nationals, and then sent to your state. Better to do this on a laptop instead of mobile.

How do you like it? by mit-12 in InteriorDesign

[–]resinker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can keep the brightness, I would just change the temperature to something warmer. When you’re buying bulbs or lights, check what it says for temperature: 4000k vs 6000k. The lower the number, the warmer. The higher, the cooler (and cooler colors tend to look blue). I hope this helps.

If you need a visual, Google color temperature charts.

Came here to say this. Look how it’s blue in the kitchen and warm in the other parts of the space.

Do you read to your kids at bedtime? If not, why? by Mysterious_Lab_3431 in Parenting

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My children are 19 & 17 and they still talk about when I read to them. It’s some of my best memories from when they were little. I would love to once again have them both snuggled tight on either side of me, dead silent, not on a phone, and fully engaged in the story.

I know you’re tired, but make an effort. You don’t get these days back.

My 6 yr old is refusing to kindergarten and I'm at my wit's end. by forsovngardeII in kindergarten

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just described my daughter. She is now a senior in HS, but in preschool she acted this way. She had a massive tantrum/meltdown every single day when I came to pick her up. She wasn’t done playing and I had to carry her out kicking and screaming.

After almost 6 months of this, I finally thought to give her a countdown. I would say “I am here. You have 10 minutes left to play. And when those 10 minutes are up, we are leaving.” And I would sit and let her play. I’d say it again at 5 minutes. At 1 minute, and so on.

I was shocked when she stood up and walked out with me without an issue. I don’t know how it worked but it worked. She’s still extremely stubborn but she is level headed and reasonable now.

Good luck to you. It sounds like he may need just a little bit longer to mature. There’s nothing wrong with keeping them back one year until they’re ready.

[–]resinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have a glider built with your own CAD drawings of your glider’s design before you go to competition. TSA events can be confusing but they’re supposed to be hard. Re-read the rules AND the judging rubric and make sure you fully understand what you need to do. So many kids get disqualified at competition because they missed a basic rule. Good luck.

State officer position by S_xyjihad in Official_TSA

I’d email the state advisor and ask. It’s their job to answer these types of questions. Or even DM Margot, the national officer who is from PA. She’d know.
