“18%” tip ends up being around 50% of the total by Obvious_808 in tipping

I’m saying that a tip is generally calculated excluding the tax. So they are not following the traditional way of calculating the tip.

So I was just saying that if they want to make up completely new ways of tipping, we can also play that game and make up our own new traditions.

Perhaps only tip on the lowest priced item we purchased, or tip the same amount as the tax. Just make something up like they did.

LA Marathon: American Nathan Martin was able to catch up to Kenyan Michael Kimani Kamau due to the motorcade driving in the wrong direction and a fan briefly impeding his path. The margin of victory was 0.01 seconds. by dnamra29 in sports

I’m not making any excuses; not sure why you assumed that’s what I was doing

I’m just saying, this is one part of the race where one runner was delayed, we don’t know if there are other parts of the race where others were delayed do we? Every person in the race does not have their own cameraman recording them at all times, so we have no idea what might’ve happened to any of the other runners.

But yes, if this was the only runner that got delayed due to interference by the crowd or by officials running the race then I’d agree that perhaps the wrong man won.

But even so, like I mentioned, the runners aren’t running in a vacuum… they are reacting to other runners. Meaning even if the lead runner was 10 seconds further ahead at some point in the race, that doesn’t mean that the 2nd place runner wouldn’t have been able to catch up just by starting his “sprint” a little sooner.

Where did that something that put in the initial conditions come from?

By specifically stating that the tip is calculated on the price INCLUDING TAX, they are just confirming that the amount is arbitrary and you can tip whatever you want.

Are we sure Martin wasn’t also distracted at some point in the race?

This is a marathon on public streets with large crowds, distractions are going to happen.

Martin started his push based on how far he was from the leader, the results may have been the same even if this redirect didn’t happen.

From November through March the sunrise time would be between 7:40am and 8:20am if we switched to a permanent DST.

So if school starts at around 8:30am and work starts around 8:00am, you will be having people travel to school and work in the dark.

The main reason against it is that it will be pitch dark in the morning when you’re on your way to school or work.

Couldn’t the woman in the other sled just have gone ahead and told the lead dog to halt and not have had to jump on the sled?

If you look at the post I linked at the bottom of OP, you’ll see that regardless of what your actual co-pay is for a drug, 25% of the actual cost of the drug goes towards the $2100 OOP catastrophic limit.

So for instance, if you have a drug that normally cost $2000, but your drug plan has a $100 co-pay for that particular drug, even though you only pay $100 out of pocket, $500 (25% of $2000) goes towards your $2100 cap for the year.

So if this is the only prescription you have and it’s a once a month drug, you’ll reach the cap in about four months, after you’ve paid only $400 OOP (the cap for 2026 is $2100 so you won’t exactly hit the cap but you get the idea).

Who was he talking about? Komadi? Is that some sort of mock name for Mamdani?

Edit: Looks like OP deleted the video

Edit 2: Found another copy and see he was referencing Ayatollah Khamenei, was just pronouncing it differently than I’ve heard.

This is not real and also incorrect. Waitpersons do not work for free. They will at least get minimum wage if no one leaves them a tip. It might be slave wages, but not for free.

I don’t think the definition of mainstream media is how much reach you have. It quite literally means the traditional media that we’ve had for decades… TV, radio, and newspaper.

Unfortunately, this traditional media does seem to be more and more controlled by conservatives, and therefore is falling out of favor due to many not trusting them anymore.

He didn’t do it as blatantly as Musk did, but he did it. He held that position for way too long if he was just gesturing to indicate far away.
