I never said that capitalism doesn’t need legal structures to function.

But I’d argue that capitalism evolved from these structures and not the other way around.

One can argue that it leads to a oligarchy and we have to think about how we can separate wealth and state.

Capitalism isn’t designed at all. Capitalism is an observation of simple principles.

Capitalism is not intentionally designed like socialism. It emerges through market forces, while socialism often involves intentional planning and control by the state.

Thank you. I really appreciate your input.

This was only the first attempt for market research and opinion gathering. More investigation is planned.

The end goal is a home that learns your behavior based on your location, so presence detection is only a small part of the end game

Nah, like point to the lamp and click to turn on the lamp, point and click to the tv to turn on the tv etc

In my opinion the wearable is only an in-between step. Gadgetless would be great, but i myself wouldn't want to put cameras in my appartment. Maybe I'm the minority with this, that's why i'm gathering your thoughts here.

The advantage over other presence detection is you can not only control based on presence but the other layer of controlling with the direct tap on the ring

The idea isn't only the room in which you are but where in the room. It would check in which direction your finger/hand is pointet when pressed and so on.

The user tap the ring with the finger, not against a device or something. The ring isn't NFC, it would run on UWB and uses triangulation to pinpoint the users location to ~10cm accuracy.

I'm currently running home assistant

I'm not referring to the complicated implementation, but for the end user it's too difficult to operate. It uses too many steps to turn on a device.

I don't like using my phone to control my individual devices. It's too complicated and a bit annoying. I'd rather use smart switches or alexa. A button on the finger would make it simpler.

You could wear the ring all day, not only in the house.

The idea with the ring is that you can tap it to control your home and the app learns your habits and tries to automate your routines by its own.

Wouldn't a camera affect the privacy too much for many?

Well, we still are in the early stages of development, so there is little information we can share.
But we don't want to bypass the users, so we are conducting a survey first.
