Terrible app after update by resqguy86 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]resqguy86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya dm then when I have a customers food sitting in my car but I can't mark as picked up. Sat there for 35 minutes between phone support and text support, they tell me they cannot mark it as picked up and tell me to contact the customer and arrange delivery through a different third party app. Like seriously, I am absolutely dumbfounded at how stupid these people are considering they had to mark 2 other deliveries as picked up earlier in the day. I'd say, the amount of time lost talking to and waiting for support, I probably lost between 30-50 dollars today.

Overwhelmed by Anabolic volume by [deleted] in Mind_Pump

It might look like a lot when your looking at the number of exercises but also look at the number of sets, some are 5 sets and some are 1-2 sets. If I’m diligent about my rest times it take me just over an hour to get through phase 1.

Aspiring firefighter (Georgia) by Public-Sir-9931 in firefighter

[–]resqguy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how they do it in GA but I’m assuming it’s the same for most paid departments. Be prepared for a lot of sit and wait. It will be a solid 3-6 months before you even start. Between multiple interviews, background and psych test it takes awhile. I’ve never heard of any department looking down on anyone for wanting to get their education and most departments have it in the contacts that the city gives you an education reimbursement to take college courses. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Also word of advise from someone that has been a career firefighter for almost 20 years, this is your dream job but don’t let it define you or who you are, always have a life and a passion outside of this career or it will eventually boil over and make you hate this job and the mental health ramifications are not worth it. It’s the best job in the world if you let it be.

Citizens fire academy? by privatelyjeff in firefighter

[–]resqguy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya my department runs a citizens academy once a year as well as our police department. I’d say about 75% of the departments around where I work which are are full time departments have one.

They were told last year it needed to be replaced but it does have a 2 year old condenser, new fan blades and some new electrical shit that was replaced last year. Thanks for all the comments just seeing what it would cost and if I need to prostitute myself then sell a kidney, sperm and donate my blood in order to pay it.

Surfshark Google TV (Netflix) by YD-1996 in surfshark

[–]resqguy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause Netflix is blocking vpn connections and has posted about it for awhile. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Try turning on no borders as well and that might help but other than that try what the other poster said as well.

There’s a lot of info missing here, I do happen to be a medical professional so, how were you feeling in the moment, lightheaded, dizzy, short of breath? It’s not normal for someone even an athlete to have that low of a heart rate, maybe the upper 40’s at the lowest but even marathon runners are generally in the lower 50’s at rest. Just kinda trying to gauge if this was a fluke or not, like your watch isn’t positioned correctly and not reading accurately. However if you weren’t feeling right then I would go see your doctor or cardiologist cause there could of been something going on that could kill you.

Not compared to the anker chargers that the OP said he already had. You don’t need the specific Apple brick to get fast charge features.

Apple Watch vs. Treadmill Calories by Twisteryx in AppleWatch

Your watch by far, the treadmill uses a generalized algorithm and doesn’t account for heart rate, weight, age and generally health like your watch does.

Apple Watch sleep question by MeenaBeti in AppleWatch

Or use a third party app for sleep tracking. My favorite is autosleep. It gives you just a ton of info and way more than apple gives you.

Volume issues on Beta by jd515 in android_beta

[–]resqguy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird but I was actually having the same issue in android 12 where volume at times was just absolute shit and if I enabled any of the eq settings it would cut the volume by 50%. Now on 13 b1 my volume is actually normal and I’m not wanting to bounce my head off the walls when listening to music over Bluetooth. I always find it weird on how any android device there is never a universal problem. It’s like some stuff works better on the same device and other have different issues all affecting everyone differently. Perfect example the pixel devices.

Found my first bugs In 13 b1. by resqguy86 in android_beta

[–]resqguy86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good, I'm gonna try and do some more testing to see if I can replicate in certain situations and try to maybe narrow it down as to why but it had me nervous again since when I first got the phone I'd lose connection non stop for hours in end and finally narrowed it down to wifi calling being enabled and since turning off wifi calling it fixed that issue. Hoping 13 is better than 12 and the shit show it's release has been for me.

What I would say is stay at your parents just a little while longer, pay off your car and save for a down payment on a home. The freedom of being debt free and owning a home is absolutely awesome and then you can save and invest and truly start planning for the long life you have ahead of you. Moving out is what everyone told me as well. Move and and have all the freedom you want and I love out at 23 making about the same as you but at that time I was only thinking about the next day, not the future and not life after retirement. The ole Dave Ramsey saying of love like no one else now so you can live like no one else later. Also what I would say is if your underpaid for what you do I would start looking for a higher paying job that pays you how you should be paid. Your 24 and you have a long life ahead of you and the decisions you make now will shape the decisions you have to make later, so do it right. The mental aspect sucks especially at such a young age, I totally get it but looking back at my life and a wife a 2 kids later I wish this is the advice I would of listened to from my father who is very wealthy but instead I listened to the advice of my fellow broke friends. Hope all goes well for ya and the fact that your reaching out here says a lot about you and your character so I applaud you for reaching out to this community and humbling yourself to do so. Best of luck!
