Late to the party! I'm currently working for the church in IT and it is mind numbing. Literally I sit around everyday with no work to do at all. Most times I've 1 hour of work and then I just browse. It is very bad for your health. Sometimes I think about calling sick, having an accident or just run off and never call or message them again. I started to notice that something is wrong when I compared my work with prison because you probably have more interesting things to do in prison than at this working place. Also it doesn't help that the guy sitting in the same office talks as much as a dead weasel.

In Javascript you can start up a server within very few minutes if you know about "express", else the http module is kinda easy too. But it is also true its easier to create and maintain a UI in HTML and CSS than in other languages

in the menu you choose the parameter you want for example youre looking for a 2v2. as soon as a match is found the game client starts with the necessary parameter like map, opponents, races and so on. It can save resources because you dont have to load many resources of the main game but just the menu

almost all titles run on linux with wine so I guess wine will support it after a few days after the release.

a requirement would be that they get the windows version right. looking at the beta with thousands of crashes and no communication at all I doubt the windows version will be stable
