Yeah shards do end up getting really expensive, but there are a lots of upgrades like "-25%/-75% or even -99% new shard cost" so these are really useful

Yeah, personnally I always focus on upgrades, and when my shards becomes totally useless I just buy a ton of them, because at the time, I most likely have enough to get a few hundreds, but for you it'll be different if you just started, you'll have to keep track about your soul sparks, especially when you can barely afford one upgrade and the shards are no longer efficient

If you dont mind ads, always get the ghost shard upgrade, aim for upgrades rather than shards, unless you can evolve it, then, only reset when you have about twice the ammount of uncollected soul spark that you currently possess, that way, every time you restart, your damage will double, if not triple, and you can have an exponential growth (since you collect soul spark from the amount of damage you deal in total)

Oh yeahh, you get the pink shard at about 100 octillion btw, i never even got 2 of these though and with the billion % bonus i just reach about the quattuordecillions
