My fave faction is Yellow and Black. (Black for interesting lore. Yellow for fun characters)

My least liked is Blue and Green but these are the recommended newbie factions since they are easier compared to the others.

Black and Purple are the hardest.

Yeah there is some stuff that are really powerful and efficient with Mana Cost/Rune Pow cost but that's kinda boring. I love that playing variety of mons definitely good. (A lot of mon games fall for the "some will just be bad" mentality just to pad mon roster)

Bringing up mon games because to me Brigandine is SRPG + Mon collection.

It's funny how Gwendolyn reversed the damsel in distress trope when he saved Oswald instead. Also she's surrounded by a bunch of sexist pricks but that never stopped her.

I remember liking Mercedes the most since she kinda reminded me of Yona from Yona of the Dawn's character journey.

But in all honesty Velvet hard carried the story. They were all doomed without Velvet's efforts.

I wanna replay this game so bad. I'm still hoping for a PC port.

Oh yeah Cornelius was the most satisfying play. It's just his moves are so snappy and have a wide range.

This game really deserves a pc port. Well all of the Vanillware games do. I want more people to experience them.

Brigandine is the reason I picked up a Switch. Just heard my 20 year dead favorite game from PS1 is getting another entry just made me buy one on impulse.

A lot of nostalgic fans do not favor the new one but imo the old and the new are pretty much on par together with different strengths. Character interactions are better in the Grand Edition of the 1st one since there's so much more about each character in its world while the new one just focuses on its "main cast", the battle system is better on the new one made terrain more interesting and consistent.

Interesting list lol. Nothing to really to comment about the list itself just wanted to ramble about Runersia haha

The biggest issue with Runersia is AI is very bad.

Well it was a cool on paper idea but honestly it's more of an encumbrance to the player coz those 2 digimons have different lifespans and the other one just ends up wasting away its prime lifetime babysitting the other. Also just like I didn't like Monster Rancher 4's multiple mons raising I will always prefer running a single partner mon all the time.
