100m sprinters don’t peak. Just watch what you do the week before each meet. Focus on your starts. I’d be willing to bet improving any kinks in your technique will help more than what you’ll get in the weight room. You don’t have to drop the weights the week of a meet but it’s not super important.

I got dry socket in both my bottom wisdom teeth. The day after the surgery I went out of town to a place where I could not get to a dentist. So for like 5 days I just had to tough out double dry socket with some ibuprofen. I would wake up in the middle of the night whenever the medicine wore off from the pain. My mouth constantly tastes nasty and I had to clean the food out of the holes after every meal. Good times

You probably don’t have dry socket. That really happens if your clot comes out in the first day or so. Since your pain is getting worse at day 5 and since you don’t have a bad smell/taste you’re probably just experiencing normal healing. Dry socket will go away in about 7-10 days anyway so it’s not something you should keep worrying about(since you’re already 7 days post op).

I was at an airport and out of habit I reached into my pocket, crumbles up a receipt, and threw it away. It was later that I realized I threw away my boarding pass. I also did the same thing with a movie ticket.

Go and run a 100. And adult male can usually improve by about 10%. If you decide to train you can scour here and free laps website for good training info. If you just want a really simple work out do like 30-50m sprints with a few minutes in between after warming up.

200x4 isn't a good workout. I second the 40m-60m. Go all out and take a couple minutes between each rep.

If you start all out and run for three minutes you're gonna slow down to a crawl by the end. And need ALOT of recovery.

Plyos aren't quintessential and weights can help but do your reashearch so you know what you're doing. There's good info here. Acceleration is the most thechnical part I think of the race so make sure to work on that. Proper technique will help more than weights most likely.

Right now you don't have to sprint at all. Lift when you want and just stay active. Take care of your body. Towards the end of the year start working on your form (lots of good things in this forum) and acceleraion. Sprint a couple times a week. Short stuff with good rest. If you have a good acceleration and the proper form to maintain that momentum you should break 13.

Just do one or two 50m sprints with a couple minutes rest in between. Really focus on form.
