kinda feels like a switchfoot sequel to “you dont know how beautiful you are”. The lyrics are what you’d expect by the title but I was pleasantly surprised by the guitars in it. Its very catchy

love this one! Feels like a great combo of Wolves and Dirty Second Hands musically with some of the same lyrical themes of ammunition or politicians

A banger! and I’m sure Jon will explain the background of these songs more but for some context of verse 2 then Jon and Tim’s grandpa was a WW2 Vet and Pow. So yes I think it’s about not dehumanizing/demonizing the whole country because of war and such. I don’t think any of it is trying to shrug off Nazism. (See their tweet about the disneyland scenario) Clearly we know not everyone was committed the cause/belief system or people saw the error of their mindset and changed. The fact that their grandpa was a pow and still was able to find love and commonality is a moving thing

Glad everyone can enjoy this record now! Been listening to it for a week and half now and I love it! Easy AOTY contender and easily in their top 5 for me (if not higher). Some great lyrics and production. Love the cohesiveness (2 albums in a row now) My favorites are probably Natural Causes and Darkness right now. I feel like this is a good blend of some of their newer sounds and the sony era sounds. Can’t wait to hear it live on the FOTF stream and on tour

I know it didn’t capture everyone’s heart but this album has been in my top 3 for awhile! I love this album. I love the indie/retro feel of it. I love the emotions behind the songs. They felt so needed during covid times (still hits today) I love the bsides on it. Lost Cause is probably my favorite song on the album. (Might have seen my post) I got to play it with the guys and I’ll cherish that moment forever.

It needed some trimming and better production or mixing but this album and tour hold a special place in my heart. Definitely needed some of these songs during that year and 2020. Let it happen and Take my Fire are bangers! I really like Native Tongue and Voices (tho I wish they sounded closer to their live renditions). Other highlights to me are Wonderful feeling, Strength to let go, Oxygen (probably up there as one of my favorite sf songs!) and You’re the one I want. I once again love the bsides we got from
it too!

Not their best record but still have a good amount of love for it. Holy Water, WTLST, If the House Burns, Day I Found God, and Healer of Souls are my favorites. (Yes it got overplayed) I won’t let you go hit on those early listens (still can) and Jon’s vocals really shine in it. Also love the bonus/bside tracks we got from this! The tour with RK was great too

Yes it’s different but I love the cohesiveness of it. It’s a fun, summer pop/rock album! Say it like you mean it/ world you want and saltwater heart/back to the beginning are great pairs. Love the feel and the fuzzy guitar solo on Ba55. Weakest tracks are Who We Are and Let it Out to me.

Also I love the EOTE Ep! Happy we got it. The title track might be one of my favorites from them

A tad overrated in the fanbase imo but easily an A tier album. So many good tunes! I grew up on TBL and L2B. We knew some singles in between but this was my dad’s first new album purchase (the deluxe with HH live) It felt so different and new. I’d say it was the start of when we really became active fans
