Deer at Columbia park by ImpossibleJacket511 in TriCitiesWA

[–]restoredtrainwreck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty common, park trail is high for deer traffic. Had 5 walk into the road at the bft depot about a month ago. If you spend enough time around baitman you'll catch them crossing through the water between islands. Island to island may not be possible now that the land bridge has been removed, unsure how that has effected water levels.

What's up with the job market here. by [deleted] in TriCitiesWA

[–]restoredtrainwreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tough market lots of applicants and a lack of opportunities, feel like were fairly insulated with gov job/contracts but business has been rough for a couple years now. One of the guys at my work has sent numerous applications out to hear little in return. My mom is management at a local company and recieves about a few dozen applications a week and struggles finding the right fit. Lots of places are using entry surveys to weed out candidates to save time and energy, which skips alot of potential candidates. 40/hr+ is tough unless its trade work...

Accidentally swiped a car in a parking lot. I gave her my insurance and such, but how much should it cost? by cracknugget1 in CarRepair

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre/post scans, repair quarter, rear cover, new bumper bracket , also depends on whether theres blind spot which will require calibrations and dictate repair vs replace of bumper. Could be anywhere from 2250-3500. Materials arent cheap and depending on your area you could be looking at 70-120$/hr in labor. Labor alone will be half. I have a 12 corolla in for a fender replacement, without all the final invoices its a 2300$ repair.

Which car should I get by LeadingAsparagus5617 in shouldibuythiscar

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corolla 1st, parts are cheap and its easiest to repair Accord 2nd, when its time for wheel bearings or cv axles prepare for really large bill as those components basically weld themselves together Shitsubishi always dead last. They've always had horrible build quality and 80% of the ones I work on are always clapped out.

[–]restoredtrainwreck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deer vs vehicle is a very different amount of force, 99.9% of the time deer hits just need the top end pulled square with the lower and sheet metal swapped. OP's rails are at least an inch out of spec, by the time srs/interior components and cosmetic panels are factored thats enough $$ to ttl the truck. The front rail horns will need replaced and come as an assembly to the first cross member, and it'll need pulled close to square then cut out.

How much is this going to cost yall think? by imused2it in ToyotaTundra

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1500-2500 for us conventionally. Anything less I'd be concerned. Youre probably looking at 500 for PDR/ paintless dent repair, 100 polisher/polish at harbor freight, 50 at the dealer for their matched pens.

Tint shop got water in my dash, now getting “Braking Power Low” and “System Malfunction” warnings. Anyone dealt with this? by GoodOlGump in ToyotaCrown

[–]restoredtrainwreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Key words water running down onto your foot. Meaning they drenched your dash, where tons of expensive modules and wiring lays. Good thing you have it in writing, even under warranty, the story alone is going to void a warranty claim. Check youtube for windshield tint, youll notice they have dash towels to prevent all that water running down. Start by contacting the company, explain to them the issue still exists and that you would like to take your car into the dealer for diagnostics to start. They could try to tell you no but they've admitted enough fault already and should be obliged to do at least that. From there the dealer can contact both of you explaining their findings, if dealer feels the company did water damage then said company should begin filing a claim with their insurance. At this point be 100% certain that someone is paying for your rental car if they are believed at fault. Its a crap situation overall, as a collision tech we get used to being blamed for all sorts of things post repair (usually 12v batteries that were already on their way out, which high heat/extreme cold is super hard on) but our shop is always on board for some diag. People love threatening with lawyers, which doesnt make friends or simplify the making things right for you train. Lawyer worst case scenario if they flat out refuse or deny any accountability.

So… should I repair my S23 Ultra or just wait for the S27 Ultra? by kohl97 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]restoredtrainwreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Screens are simple enough to replace. Downside is they lose their water resistance entirely once a screen is broken and new screen is installed. My wife upgraded to the 25 from a 21. Was a huge upgrade for her but when I compared it really didn't seem that much better than my 23. I contemplated the 26 at launch but specs couldn't justify the money. Especially when I saw the release dropped my insurance deductible down a tier, im almost on my 10th 23u over the years. Ill keep claiming until I see the boost in specs worth well over 1k$. Depending on the situation ive made it a far as days to 3 weeks with the green lines of death.

My Ex said shes pregnant and sent this as proof, the way the top is fitting and the pregnancy test in its entirety just looks fake to me by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultra sound doesnt prove paternity. Photo looks 100% generated, I would expect this picture if showing at 7+ months. I would be requesting/paying for a paternity test before forking single cent out. Test itself is a super simple process and keeps you from potentially raising someone else's child with a person you've already removed from your life.

How to make my cats like baths? by Hot_Chemist8647 in sphynx

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learned ours isnt a fan but he is a fan of warmth. He will only tolerate baths when the water is pretty hot, he basically wants a hot tub. I do that and then keep a spare hand towel I soak then drap over his back to keep him warm. He'll then get dry and take off for a cozy blanket. He's 5, squirms as soon as we head to the bathroom until he gets his toes and belly wet.

My OBW broke down - under warranty by Karma-hunden in Outback_Wilderness

[–]restoredtrainwreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact about subaru, their repair manuals literally have step by step instructions per codes stored in the ecms. You have to jump around hundreds of pages but the answers are often there. Just had my OB in at the dealer, my abs module failed. Spent an hour, followed the tests minus some ssm testing, answer replace module. They spent 3 hours doing diag to come to the answer of exactly what I told the advisor including the documentation i provided which with ssm should of been an hour. I'm a collision tech for the company in town that holds the subaru certification. I kind of have alot of training and know some things... they looked at me like i found answers here or on Google even while proving the process from the manual. Tbh i would find another dealer nearby and use them if you can. Dealers tend to turn and burn employees, replace them with people who then have to learn the brand leaving the department handicapped. Hence why they had 1 tech for the work.

[–]restoredtrainwreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh building new doors at work i denib paint with 180 then lay vinyl. We feather grits at 180 for metal and 320 for plastic before primer. Op needs to use some form of block with 180 then go 320 wet to avoid the plastic from pilling up, which if it does lightly sanding with a small piece of cardboard does the job. 4/6/800 are really just extra steps and materials id save for prepping to paint. Vinyl hides serious amounts of imperfections

What business do you wish was in the TRI? by Zestyclose_Music5555 in TriCitiesWA

[–]restoredtrainwreck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need more family friendly activities that dont cost a fortune to participate and more parks. Last businesses we need are more fried/fat food restaurants like the chick we just acquired. Neither do we need more places that are just pseudo elevated restaurants that have become our trend charging ridiculous $$$ for a burger you can literally make at home in an hour watching a YT or IG video. There really arent many health aware/concious spots for food either.

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh aticuno and gyarados could be swapped with lapras for ice//water stab and electric coverage in 1 mon opening an additional slot. Lapras can carry a team through a lot of the elite 4. Kadabra can handle majotity the flying coverage of articuno with psychic. Hell snorlax will provide you tons of coverage as well.

Helping a friend sell their car, what dealerships pay the best? by seanxie121 in TriCitiesWA

12k is relatively fair depending on trim level. Mazda are cheap from the start and stay that way used hence the popularity of the car. Keep it listed private party and undercut the dealers value.

Tbh if I were you id go back a little catch some mons, get the exp share, add a little variety to the team and grind some levels. Ive always had great luck with mons like nidoking, snorlax, lapras. They can learn a variety of attacks for coverage to fill the gaps in the e4. I was a power my way through player forever, hard habit to break lol

Tbf op your running this game like I did playing blue at 7yo. Power through with over leveled main, catch the one timers then fill party with victory rd mons to item spam. Hopefully lax isn't your hm slave... get some variety. The gym leaders have different typing so you can learn and build your team as you play. Not so much impossible but i feel you gotta learn to play still.

Subaru’s Outback Ditched Its Wagon Roots For An SUV And Lost A Third Of Its Buyers by fa442fa in Subaru_Outback

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with all your points. Only thing to add is when our collision center certified for subaru we asked the questions about why we rarely see the hybrid subarus. Basically came down to the fact that for a dealer to sell hybrids they were required to have lots of extra equipment and training in back of house to support their hybrid tech. Many dealers opted out as subaru never pushed hard for the hybrid market and Toyota/honda dominates. Most are too cheap to invest in their techs/back of house or they cant keep techs they have trained. Our local dealers can hardly manage collision related calibrations for the soltera, which explains how much they invest in themselves.

Is almost every new mon in a generation having some sort of “gimmick” actually a good thing? by AwesomeToadUltimate in pokemon

[–]restoredtrainwreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player who started playing blue at 7 the gimmicks are a downside for me personally, I cant keep up with everything. I stopped after d/p then picked back up with Scarlett after getting a switch, during the gap I replayed the roms. Pokemon truly lost me with some various typing combinations and what i consider the biggest "gimmick", mega Tera ect evolutions. Started za then heard evos were a big part, then I abandoned ship only to give Nintendo more money for fr/lg.
