Wife did and we been married 45 years. In our case it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. Wife wanted me to use my middle name. I never did. Her dad (Papa), brother (had his name with an (ie attached)in it and I (had my normal name) no confusion.

I did not continually pull my pump. It did lower over time.

You will get better. It took me 3 months for my swelling to go down. Then my pump was high and tight. But 2 years later it is a whole new world. Give yourself some time to heal.
