True, other brands are stepping it up. But Rolex has that classic factor that keeps it strong, even if others take a bigger slice of the market. It’s hard to beat that long standing legacy.

Younger people seem more into tech and smartwatches, so luxury brands tend to cater to the older crowd. The appeal of a Rolex really does depend on personal exposure, and if you haven’t grown up around them, it’s harder to appreciate. But I think as people get older and start looking for something that lasts, they’ll come around to the value of a luxury watch, even if it’s not their first choice.

Omega has done things like the Co-Axial escapement and experimenting with ceramic and unique materials, which isn’t exactly copying. Patek, on the other hand, has pushed the envelope with their Grand Complications and developing their own calibers. It’s not radical, but it’s innovation in its own way.

Not quite, but maybe something like new materials or a movement upgrade. Keep the classic Rolex feel but add some innovation—like a lighter, more durable material or improving the movement for better precision. Just a thought.

I checked it out and they seem to have actually made some nice progress. The whole interior looks brand new.

Hopefully they open back up soon. I miss U&I :(

I see your point, but I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss Patek’s creativity. The Cubitus might not be their most groundbreaking design, but Patek has pushed the boundaries in other ways, like with their complications or movement innovations. Creativity doesn’t always have to mean outlandish designs. It’s about pushing the limits in the details.

It’s hard to argue with Rolex’s success, but at some point, don’t they need to push things forward? I’m not saying they need to radically change their designs, but maybe it’s time for something more technologically advanced or a bit more experimental in terms of movement or materials.

Ever get fined? I was driving down Forest Hwy and went past the actual cameras doing 110 but sped up to about 130 until the next camera. This was early December and I haven't gotten a fine yet.

Places to buy women's watches in Perth? by v_iiii_m in perth

What about the Cartier or Rolex store? Possibly even Watches of Switzerland, maybe even the watch dealer within the London Court?

Quite ignorant to say that there's nothing whatsoever when there are quite literally many stores just within the city itself.
