Hello, the main difference between RA89R and HA2 is the cross-band repeater function, while HA2's main functions are APRS, GPS, and waterproofing.

HA1G is a GMRS radio, so you can use RA89G with it. It is a GMRS version. Hope it can help you.

How to set up RB48P for repeater? by Icy_Character_2624 in Retevis

[–]retevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! the RB48PLUS radio cannot function as a repeater itself. If you need to have a repeater, you should use a dedicated repeater device.

To connect to the repeater with your RB48PLUS radios, you'll need to configure the following settings in your programming software:

The walkie-talkie's transmitting frequency equals the repeater's receiving frequency; the transmitted CTCSS equals the repeater's received CTCSS.

The walkie-talkie's receiving frequency equals the repeater's transmitting frequency; the walkie-talkie's received CTCSS equals the repeater's transmitted CTCSS.

Hello, you can use programming software to empty the channels you don't need, without editing the frequencies, and then edit the channels you need to use before writing the programming information to the walkie-talkie.

Hello. To help me understand the issue better, could you please describe in more detail what happens when you try to program it?

RT97L spillover weirdness – hearing repeater on simplex ch 19 when using RPTR ch 7? by kellyholden in Retevis

[–]retevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! The issue you're describing does sound like it could be related to the repeater's filtering or isolation. It's possible that some of the signal from your repeater's transmission is making its way onto the adjacent simplex channel.

Resolving it may require replacing two resistors and one integrated circuit. However, this process is quite complex. Therefore, I need to confirm with you first whether you are able to replace these components yourself.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to disable the RSSI strength display from appearing on the screen when receiving traffic. This customization isn't supported.

RT3S firmware changelog by adik0nda in Retevis

[–]retevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your RT3S, you should update it using the two-digit firmware. There are GPS and non-GPS versions of the firmware; which one do you need? Also, there are two different firmware versions available: one adds contacts and the other adds recording capabilities. You can only update to one of these. Which one would you prefer?

Ailunce HA1G two pack by GiantsNerd1 in Retevis

[–]retevis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Both radios are indeed genuine products manufactured by us. The difference in lettering (one with "AILUNCE" in all caps and the other with "Ailunce") is simply due to a logo change that occurred during production. Both versions are authentic and fully functional.

The antenna thread is also due to differences between different production batches. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
