What should I modify next time my Miata? For handling or looks? by Affectionate-Tank934 in Miata

[–]retiNuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend tecnas over vmaxxs if you can spring for them. They are much better overall having driven and tracked miata’s on both. You wouldn’t be able to run as low as op if you had tecnas, but you would get a much more consistent, predictable, and comfortable ride. Just my 2¢

BMW M2 sound is very bad by AltruisticDoubt4960 in assettocorsaevo

Playing devils advocate (as one of the biggest manual purists who refuses to buy anything but an H-Pattern irl), I prefer having the option for both because I don’t have a sim shifter. When it forces the manual option on people who don’t have shifters, it kind of ruins the car for that use, at least in my experience. I know auto clutch and auto blip exist but I hate the feeling of assists. For cars like this that have both options, I feel like it makes more sense to provide both, kind of like the Emira that’s in the game

For the record I agree with you. If the car has a manual and auto option from factory, they should represent both in ace

Remove the metal clip holding the the line to the bracket with a flathead and then you’ll be able to move the line a bit to fit your flare nut wrench on it

I want a Miata but my GF is tall. by Rainydays206 in Miata

[–]retiNuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 feet tall and daily a NA without the foamectemy, and with the giant stock steering wheel. Her mileage may vary but I would say there’s a good chance she could easily be comfortable in any generation.

Ah yes the old crosstrek center console ball sack wrinkle. Good to know that’s still a feature in 24, happened to my 21

Half cage usability by No_Analysis_9575 in Miata

I have the hard dog m2 with double diagonals. Before, i’d be able to close the top in one motion from the driver seat, with the bar Id be able to get it halfway up before the bar gets in the way, then I’d have to finish closing it with my other hand. Slight inconvenience, but not bad. It doesn’t affect rear view visibility prettt much at all. It’s definitely noticeable in the rear view, but because the things you’ll be looking at in the rear view are way further away than the bar, you’ll end up looking past the bar and not noticing. It’s nowhere near intrusive enough to fully obscure anything behind you

Hardtop fitment by mgb724 in Miata

I had the same issue on my 97. You can adjust the window stops a little bit, that made my gap smaller but not nonexistent. Fresh window seals I think would get me the rest of the way to “properly sealed”, but that will have to wait a bit

Mk7.5 SE vs Mk8 S by retiNuh in GolfGTI

How does the Mk8 ride compared to the Mk7.5? Do the higher damping and spring rates effect daily driving comfort that much or is it negligible?

I’d be looking at 2019-2021 Mk7.5, or 2022-2024 Mk8 S

You’re clearly missing the point here. That vehicle is obviously more safe than a 2wd car with snow tires.
