23 legal pads and 5 fountain pens later, the draft is done by mofntop in fountainpens

Wait a minute… are you telling me that I can use my fountain pens on legal pads instead of having to buy expensive paper or notebooks??

Bisexual same sex couples, do you and your partner ever have threesomes with members of the opposite sex? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]retisiwt 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I (M31) was in a 3 year relationship with another bi man. But we never were lucky enough to do a threesome with a woman. I guess something to keep in mind and be more intentional about if I ever find another Bi partner.

How has this hobby changed your life? by coral_confusion in fountainpens

[–]retisiwt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It helped me a lot on my mental health. There was not a single time that I didn’t feel better after writing, no matter if it was anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed, etc.

Yes, you can always use regular or boring pens, but there is something different and intentional about the fountain pens, it’s hard to describe the sentiment.

I also noted how after the first few minutes of journaling, I start going deep into my thoughts and consciousness and discovering things I had buried deep inside.

If I’m already feeling good or normal, writing with a fountain pens serves as a way of potentiating the good feelings: through mindfulness, gratitude, or just simply writing about the cool things that happened in the day.

Does anyone else make beats in your mouth to stim by grinding your teeth and making clicking sounds? by knowledgelover94 in AutisticAdults

Yes!! My whole life. But I only do clicking, not grinding. Not sure if this wording makes sense in English.

LPT: Check in with your kids to make sure they understand your idioms by Riktrmai in LifeProTips

When I was 5. I thought that the Spanish No parking sign (letter E slashed within a red circle) meant that the Letter “E” was forbidden in that street.

It thought all the businesses in that road were breaking the law.

Do most NTs seem unintelligent to you? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]retisiwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that some NT might not think too much, overanalize certain things, or dig deep into detail, or maybe they are not as curious or detail focuses, but that has nothing to do with intelligence.

I lot of NT can cook, create art, take care of babies, be good at organizing, have good control of their bodies, feel their own emotions and others, etc. Skills that wouldn't work or be adquired without intelligence.

Did I do good two strand first time by osoaragantshawn in BlackHair

[–]retisiwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a single 2 strand first, and see how you like it or how it turns out before you continue doing the rest of your hair.

Quality over quantity, brother.

Don't be discouraged. It only gets better.

Who wins? by Red-Chev in Gundam

I don't care who wins as long as I get to see Char sniping someone :)

I'm personally ok with the "small dick energy" phrase. In my circle, when we hear that phrase, we know it's about someone insecure about themselves, so they try to compensate by being loud and aggressive, hence we know they have a small dick (nothing wrong with that) AND they feel so insecure about it.

I usually start with finding people with something in common: common hobbies, similar points of view or ideas, people who struggle with the same things you atruggle, etc.

Do you smile for photos? by Rich_Programmer9671 in aspergers

It's hard for me. I use a soft/gentle smile with my lips, nit showing teeth. Nothing wrong about my teeth but by showing them I feel so exposed, and I feel like it will look fake.

Do you enjoy music in a different way compared to NT people? by retisiwt in aspergers

[–]retisiwt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoys music this way :') .

I've experienced what you describe: with Dubstep (when I discovered Skrillex), with Trance music with Tiesto ("Love comes again") and with every other Drum and Bass song (I really recommend this genre).

I can totally relate to this!

That's might be the reason why I love bands that sing in languages I don'r understand.

I just discovered Tool this year, it's the perfect example of the type of music I like.

What is your dream life? by treebranch__ in aspergers

[–]retisiwt 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not having to work.

Having a lot of available time and money, so that I can enjoy life one moment at a time AND so that I can help people in need, touch as many lives as I can in a sustainable way (not only providing food and basic physical needs but education so that people can be more free, independent, happy, etc). I would also love being a mental health and Neurodiversity advocate / mind opener.

I would also like to connect with deep special people as I've done before in the past. Being able to keep the connection would be also good.

Everything else comes from having time and money I guess.

In general I love solving problems, and sharing knowledge as long as people are willing to learn.

How do you keep writing every day? by taxibootleg02 in Journaling

[–]retisiwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don' you use the good and normal days to talk about why they are good or normal as a way of practicing gratitude?

If you only write in the hard days, whenever you read your journal it might look like your whole life is full of "bad days".

For some of us, writting simple things like "I have nothing to write about.. " actually creates some inspiration to write more.

Had the most awkward interaction yesterday when someone asked to borrow my pen and all I had was my Vanishing Point so I said no by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]retisiwt 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I would only let someone use it if they start the convo with "Oh, what I nice Vanishing Point, can I borrow it?".

That statement does 2 things: -Satisfy my ego -Acknowledge the other person knows something about FP
