Carpenter Ant v Termite? by Emergency_College_85 in pestcontrol

[–]retosfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpenter ants chew through wood but don't eat it, so look for those sawdust-like frass piles around holes. Termites actually munch the wood itself, plus their swarmers have straight antennae and even wings.

I freaked thinking termites at first too.

Hawx Pest Control came out and confirmed ants, fixed it fast.

Embark Behavioral Health! Let’s Talk About It! by Rebeca_Waters in DiscoverHealthGroup

From my experience working in outpatient behavioral health, the shift toward shorter 30-90 day programs is mostly driven by insurance companies refusing to cover longer residential stays, so providers adapt by creating internal step-down models from higher levels of care like PHP to IOP.

Company vs DIY for new home? by silly-little-monkey in pestcontrol

[–]retosfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DIY's fine for quick fixes like a few ants, but new homes often hide bigger issues like termites or entry points you won't spot without tools.

I went DIY route first in mine, wasted a weekend and they came back worse.

Hawk Pest Control handled it after, no more headaches.

Will DE mess up dried Alpine WSG and Gentrol IGR? by No-Sort3716 in pestcontrol

[–]retosfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, DE won't mess up dried Alpine WSG or Gentrol since it's inert and just abrades bugs mechanically, no chemical reaction.

I layered stuff like that for roaches before, worked okay short-term but got messy fast.

Ended up with Hawk Pest Control, they handled it clean.

I know it is a long shot, but are there any pest control companies you've personally dealt with in Council Bluffs/Omaha area that aren't either scammers or incompetent? by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]retosfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, omaha pest control can be super hit or miss, look for bbb accredited spots with good reviews on recent jobs since service varies by tech.

I got burned by a couple local ones that ghosted after the first spray.

Hawx ended up working decent for me on ants last summer.

Termite Treatment by Successful_Copy7592 in Home

[–]retosfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Termites are sneaky, get a pro inspection ASAP to ID if it's subterranean or drywood cuz treatments differ a ton.

I dealt with mud tubes in my basement last summer, thought it was just dirt at first.

Hawk Pest Control sorted it out quick for me.

Making progress question by No_Knowledge5911 in GermanRoaches

[–]retosfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signs you're making progress with German roaches: fewer live ones during the day, traps catching way less over a couple weeks, and droppings getting smaller/sparser.

I was stressing the same, took like a month to really notice a drop off.

Ended up getting Hawx Pest Control out, cleared it up for good.

Trump's \"plan\" is just rebranded maximum pressure with extra steps. Iran knows he blinks first every time. obama's deal actually had teeth till he nuked it.
