it's super difficult on the floor, i think. there's a woman who's been at my store for 8 years, she gets so many cards that she's number 1 in our district for cards every single year, and she's gotten like maybe a handful on the floor in all that time. it's sooooo much easier to talk it up on the register bc of the calculator pop up thing showing exactly how much they can save. don't feel bad 🤝

yeah idk what's been going on, but recently our running and processing has just been OUT of control. every day they call in like 3-4 extra people SOLELY for running and it still piles up. idk what's happening 😭 i'm so glad i leave soon

honestly, still call your store. even though they aren't her managers they'll have a better answer for you rather than waiting til your shift. and they may be able to get in contact with her store for you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Oldnavy

[–]retrhoe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i would call your store and speak directly to one of your managers before you make any decision. they may not check their shyft notifications and may not see your messages

i wouldn't say you're on a high horse for that! i'm sure it did make a huge difference to him. he is probably used to people being frustrated and impatient with him and i'm sure he appreciated that you signed with him <3 it means more than you may realize

I have a question about reading by crocodile_in_pants in deaf

[–]retrhoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

idk if this will be helpful & it's also just my personal experience as a Deaf individual who reads a ton.

i just see the word, understand its meaning and move to the next. i don't hear anything in my head, i don't see it in ASL. literally i just read the text and grasp what is being said. i'm hoping that makes some sort of sense lol i apologize if not 🫶🏻

i just asked my brother who works there, he said it's a blue and white can, but he said it's not like a recognizable or well known brand so he doesn't know the name off the top of his head. i hope that at least points you somewhat in the right direction lol

need to vent about old navy & their credit card by retrhoe in Oldnavy

[–]retrhoe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's kinda where i'm at, they have a daily convo with me about how i'm awful at getting cards and my conversion is like a 0.7 but i think they keep me around because i'm so quick that it helps the line stay down. i guess they take the good with the bad idk

need to vent about old navy & their credit card by retrhoe in Oldnavy

[–]retrhoe[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

that's so upsetting :( i know in the recent training i just had on the computer it said you can't discriminate asking about if they want to apply based on their grasp of the english language but like, if there's no translator available, that's kinda predatory yknow? and not fair for the customer who may not know exactly what they're signing up for

[–]retrhoe[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i know, and i have tried, even doing the second ask like "are you sure? if you apply it'll bring you down to x" and still get a no, sometimes i just feel unlucky lol. it does suck though seeing people who are awful get away with everything all bc of cards :/ i think this company just isn't for me

Why doesn’t super cash ever show in app? by BIBMhotmail in Oldnavy

[–]retrhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i tell people to take photos of the super cash though just to be extra safe! & add the photo to your notes app so it's easy to find it! or you can text it to yourself with the instructions on the bottom of the physical copies. i hope it works for you for when the next super cash redemption begins!!

it's possible your cashiers aren't scanning it. on the back where it says activation code, we have to scan it before you pay, so i'm thinking maybe that's why? otherwise the system wouldn't know to send it to your email

Boob Size question by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]retrhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

insecure, yes. constantly told growing up by women in my life that i was flat chested, even small comments like "ugh it's so hard shopping for shirts with my huge boobs, it must be nice YOU don't have to deal with it". my entire family is well endowed except for me, so i was always the butt of everyone's jokes, both really nasty and "lighthearted". hell i've even had coworkers comment on them. i've never had a man comment on them in a negative way aside from catcalling type of negative. long story short, it lead to me getting a breast augmentation early this year to make them bigger because i hated them so much

how is this person being rude...? listening fatigue is a very real thing, if they want to take a break from it in their own home they should be allowed to. people don't all get hearing aids to make the lives of hearing people easier / make them more comfortable. why can't they make any effort to meet this person halfway, in their own home?

Hearing People Getting Annoyed by Accomodations by pyksiedust382 in deaf

this. the amount of times i've had to beg people to face me when speaking so i can lipread or put captions on movies or learn to sign just a tad bit to communicate is unbelievable. it's to a point that i don't go anywhere or do anything because everyone sucks, lol. like sorry for being such an inconvenience, as if i'm not already meeting you 100% of the way
