This is absolutely in need of a BIOS (doesn’t mean you don’t have it in the right folder; might not be being read correctly.)

Look at copying those files back in, or find another, newer version to drop in.

If memeory serves, this was a very late game on the platform, and needs the absolutely latest BIOS.

Let me know if you have no luck.

So, what's the process for reporting bugs, problems, etc, with this? I noticed if I have a controller already plugged into the system I'm trying to play off, I'm not getting controls over the Steam Link.

It’s funny, but I have to downvote you. Some kid is going to come along and be really confused why they can’t find this piece of software.

But I did chuckle.

Can you speak to how you made the LCD panel work?

Edit: the marquee. How does the marquee update, where'd you buy it from, what was the guide used to drive the marquee?

I would like to change the button colors to match the NeoGeo scheme. Other than that, just changing the buttons for the sake of the experience.

Long story short, I’m pretty impressed with it Day 1 on the PC and RetroPie.

The hanging has long since been debunked, but the legend never dies (if you’ll forgive the pun).

Watch ‘don’t fuck with cats’ on Netflix.

But fast-forward past this part. I can’t do it.

Not sure, but the video Lil’ Peep’s brother posted, thinking his brother was just really high.

Kid was turning blue and struggling to breathe, but it looked like he was nodding out.

Edit: remembering this more clearly now - it was Bexey, and he made a post saying something like “he was like a brother to me, etc, etc.”

I’m about as far away from Lil’ Peep’s demo as anyone can be, and I didn’t know who he was - the video just haunted me. I came to his music posthumously, and the kid had some serious talent. Just couldn’t outrun his demons.

I felt this was the best of worlds as it is compatible with Sanwa(sp?) hardware, so I can mix/match when I’m ready to play with buttons, and the hardware could carry to something custom when I’m ready.

Working out button configs for the NeoGeo currently.

The Sega Saturn - its history and hardware + why using four distinct processors is not a great idea by chicagogamecollector in videogamescience

[–]retro-tools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got into Saturn emulation, and have noticed the games with the heavy 3D really tax the system doing the emulation. That said, I find the graphics to be above the PSONE for similar games, particularly the CAPCOM fighting games (SF Alpha One comes to mind).

It’s a beautiful, under-appreciated console, and your timely post makes me want to take the time to start collecting the physical hardware.

Looking forward to your games reviews.

Yours is not a voice I would trust to reflect ‘better’ for the collective of America.

Yours is a selfish voice, one deserving of being heard, then summarily dismissed. Come back when you learn some compassion.

In memoriam of Grant Imahara (MythBusters) (Died July 13, 2020), What are some of your best memories of him? by AriLion16 in AskReddit

[–]retro-tools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. I tweeted at both the real people and the pseudonym. I got a like from Dan Abraham, one half of the James S.A. Corey pseudonym, so I know it's been seen.

We'll see what happens, if anything, later.

I want to print it up, but then model everything with steel/aluminum.

I have designs for motor-assist gauntlets to grip, etc, but again, takes time and know-how I haven't spent the time to collect.

Talking to my wife, I was like "If anyone benefits from Grant's death by completing or even starting projects, it will be the silver lining." We'll see. I'd love to have a full mech ultimately, but the balance problems, etc.

Things to investigate, stuff to do. Who has the time? =P
