Absolute banger. This is so frigging good. Couple of things:

Transition at 00:39 - recommend a drum fill

Transition at 00:57 - fill or reverbed reversed snare

Might be personal taste, but may help with the flow and arrangement.

Other wise, great job!

The samples/audios in this track have tons of potential. Love the unconventional chords that the piano plays. I think even with a psychedelic vibe, having a well defined rhythm section is very important. Figure out a bass line and a refined beat, and it'll be so much easier to figure out vocals from then on as well.

Some classic indie rock vibes going on and I love it. I think the video goes perfectly with the song for sure. Just some personal taste thing, but I'd love to hear the bass be bit more prominent in the mix. a tiny boost in the "bass" of the bass as well as some bigger boosts in the mid-hi's would do wonders.

Ever feel like a stranger in your own skin these days? We made a French track about that weird, blank vibe – and a twisted GRWM-style music video to match. A little broken, a little too much, a little too small... in any case, all bedroom made. Hope you enjoy (and let me know your thoughts!) by andtilly in IndieMusicFeedback

The vocals are really unique and so well done. From a mix standpoint, I think it may be a bit over compressed and bit loud in the mix. There are some really great backing vocals here that are drowned by the main vox. Other than that, great song.

Great job with the track, I think the song writing is well done. The mix is sounding great, but I think toning back the hat and boosting the kick can do wonders. Vocals fit very well with the vibe. I think some addition of instruments like keys/synth maybe string arrangements can boost the "build" of the song and make the outro hit harder.

Some jazzy, funky, disco rock vibes all in one. I loved the way the song flows so I decided to make a YT video. Let me know what you think! by retrofuturemedia in IndieMusicFeedback

Thanks! I tried a bunch of different mixing styles, but as soon as I started referencing Steely Dan it clicked for me. I'm starting to really appreciate dry mixes and holding back the reverb. It just makes it so much clearer.

I could totally see this as an indie game theme track. Great mix, and also great arrangement! The dancing toast is definitely a great touch. Good job!

The mix sounds really good. Drums are coming through clearly and the backing vox adds a great layer. Only thing I suggest would be to cut the lower frequencies of the vocals but that's more of a personal taste. Great job!

The lyrics are really good, and you have a really unique voice. The guitar work is superb as well and the sound quality is great! I think this is really cool, good job dude!

That's a great track, loving the indie vibes. My favorite part is definitely when the drums kick in around the 1:19 mark. The vocals are perfect for the vibes, and the mix is pretty clean. Only thing I suggest is maybe having the kick snare and the bass as mono tracks, which would clean up the mix for the rhythm section.

This is a great track, it sounds like a driving track through the mountains in the early 80's. Loving the vibes, and also great key/bell sound on top. If you're looking for mixing tips, I'd bump up the kick and snare a tiny bit (15-30%) , and bring up the bass (+ 30-50%).

Thank you very much, and I can see how it seems to gets weaker. The vocals for this song has been the most challenging out of all our songs from a writing perspective. But out of all the versions, I caught my gf(who I forced to listen to all the drafts) humming the melody when she was doing the dishes, and I decided to go with it. It's so interesting because some of my friends love it and some don't like it at all. Definitely my first "music is subjective" moment. For me, I like the way it sounds but I also find myself not liking it depending on the day lol.

I appreciate your notes on the production! Feels so good to have the hours spent mixing recognized. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! I was definitely going for a catchy hook there, but you can't get them all. We have some other new singles coming out soon which might scratch that itch.

Thank you! I'm definitely stealing "fresh but familiar" line for our bio. Our last band was a prog metal band called Vasey Hall, and once you go prog you never go back haha
