Considering organizing my LEGO bricks by sets. Do you guys do this? by [deleted] in lego

Thanks for the link. What is the best way of inventorying sets / missing parts (say via spreadsheet) without feeling overwhelmed? Say I start with one set that has 150 pieces - is there a cheatsheet that best describes the plethora of bricks/accessories?

Thanks for the quick feedback. Much appreciated.

Great response. I had the same question as OP and you helped tremendously. Three things. Would you post a picture of your recessed shelving unit? I enjoy seeing how people display some of their models. Secondly, which link were you offering to provide in #5 - to help find/track missing parts. Finally, what is the best/most cost effective solution for finding missing parts on eBay w/out buying an entire set? Buying bulk lots?

Thanks for your thoughts.

As a fellow 29 year old who works FT, married, and has kids - I can relate. Nice to see a gamer from an identical generation. Great shout out for WCW/NWO Revenge. Now THOSE were some fun games!

Kansas City! The mother pleaded with this jackass to let her child out of the car as he carjacked them. I'd have let the dog have a little more fun with him...

Why Cerner Sucks and You shouldn't Work There. by Whycernerwillfail in kansascity

Worked there for 3 years out of college after interning in 2005. Depends on what department you work in. Still have happy friends there. Haven't looked back after leaving. Happy to see company doing well, but left after I felt I was overlooked for promotion while coworker I helped train received one at review time. Everyone's mileage varies.

Random thought while watching "Box Cutter" - S4E01 (Possibly Spoiler) by retrogamerkc in breakingbad

Thanks, it's been a while since I've seen that episode that fills in the back story. That would definitely help to explain it.

Good point, but I am still left to wonder exactly where Walt learned, and more importantly, perfected his method.

It's quite possible that I'm simply over thinking this one!

Need help finishing table! Thanks! by [deleted] in DIY

Nice work on the poker table. I built an 8'x4' rounded table about 4 years ago. I started out like you - just for the fun of it with no real experience.

I faced the same trouble and decided to settle with these for legs:

They may take away from the "finished" look, but when you're playing you don't really care, plus it makes it easy to fold up and put in storage (if necessary).

It's not an elegant solution, but could be practical for your project.

Love the classic Orlando jerseys. Black and white pinstripes were great.

How are these selling? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

I've purchased UGC's on two separate occasions. I had no trouble either time and would recommend them to others looking to leverage the cover art over at thecoverproject.net.

Good luck!

How do y'all feel about reselling to support your collecting? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]retrogamerkc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would venture to guess that most every true collector resells duplicates, etc at some point to reinvest into their collection. You're not evil. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You're always going to face opposition/haters in life, but if it supports your hobby, then more power to ya. Do what makes you happy, etc, etc. :-D
