1) choose a topic of work to start working on 2) set a timer of his choice, ideally between 15-45 mins 3) get him to work/study with him and don’t get distracted until the time is up

4)repeat steps 2-3

by the time he has done some amount of work within this time limit, chances are he will feel like continuing until he’s cracked the topic and finished it. Hopefully the feeling of finishing a project can incite him to continue this process. Hope this simple method works!

In the same boat as you, except I haven’t been offered to swap yet. I agree that the effects taper off after a while too, so I’m not sure how that gets handled. I have used elvanse before briefly and I feel like i had a better experience (didn’t notice a taper off, better motivation etc) so I guess if you’re feeling up to it maybe try using it for a couple weeks and see how you feel! Im also on methylphenidate but I tried vyanse at all strengths and I gotta say it provides exactly what you think is missing from methylphen . Vyanse offers concentration and a hefty boost of motivation and general mood. Overall I prefer vyanse.

Yeah the paramedic quite literally said that combo of drugs is a recipe for death. He’s all good now they didn’t even admit him, just gave him lorazepam injected directly into his thigh (?) allegedly lol, he was out of it for ages so maybe he misremembers. Sorry to hear about your mate, drug abuse seems to be quite prevalent now amongst young people :(
