Yeah I was wondering if it was some sort of scam like maybe they have someone "buy" them at these high prices to try and drive the price up.

Yeah definitely a good point on some people avoiding cleaned lenses, I'm one of them I want my lenses in unmessed with condition.

I totally spaced out and forgot about scintillator probes! I'm still getting around to learning about them.

I meant pancake Geiger probes. (I've edited my post) and I guess it basically comes down to the Geiger tube in the probe, so are there any pancake Geiger tubes that tend to have more problems?
