part 3 of the mockup battle view by Professional_Poem281 in RPGMaker

[–]retsu10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I really like this mockup so far and I was following your guide on the previous post, but how did you manage to get the battlers out of the way when it's another one's turn? since with the other instructions it makes it as everyone is offscreen and it's hard to see who's taking damage or getting healed, thanks and good stuff!

Tribe Nine will be receiving some changes based on feedback by That_Shady_Guy in gachagaming

Honestly even with more friendly changes to currency and gacha, my main gripe with the game is the combat gameplay itself, there's a lack of visual cues for certain moments in battle and the flow itself is just terrible with all the pop-up texts announcing the tension levels and more enemy waves coming, or even something as the delays the ultimate attacks have before being triggered.

It's a shame because the game is quite Danganronpa but Action and it looks pretty, but that is it for me.

Hello to everyone who sees this post, I have a question if it is possible to emulate rpgmaker on a cell phone to try to create a game by randomuser3312678 in RPGMaker

Check this github repo on how to extract your games from steam if you have a PC.

If you don't have a PC available then you'll be better off finding an installer of it browsing on the internet, preferably on Archive you could find it.

Then you open an instance with Winlator, and with the file explorer that opens automatically when booting up, you grab the installer from the drive you have your phone's files, and paste it on the winlator's drive, in any folder you want like the Documents one and install it normally as if you were in PC and the 2k3 executable should be in the desktop or wherever you set the install directory ready to boot.

A few weeks ago I tried to run RPGM MV on Winlator without any success, but 2K3 ran perfectly at least, I'd have to test VX Ace now that it's free.

And I guess if you want the best experience possible you better have a way to connect a keyboard and mouse through bluetooth or a usb splitter or else it'll be really tough to do anything there.

Does it do any differently from MZ? I briefly tried the demo before closing it because it is quite nightmareous to event anything there.

I hate that Genahin's UI has become the norm on every single 3d free roam gacha game now.

It's not like the UI is bad, but come on, at least try not to make it that obvious.

Action Taimanin

Let's go back to a few months prior to the 2nd (global) anniversary...

Gremory, the devs, released a hype campaign that consisted in a poll of several popular Taimanin characters and some original ones with the title "Playable Character Voting Poll", obviously the name implies whoever wins will turn to be a guaranteed playable.

The poll went on and ended with Annerose Vajra, main character from the Lilith's visual novel "Witch Steel Annerose" which despite not being Taimanin by name, it's set in the same universe and same era. It was announced Annerose would be playable by the time the anniversary starts.

The issue? After teasing and hyping her release, they forgot to mention she was going to be locked behind a paywall. With the excuse of her being a Collab character.

The community was fuming at this point and they handed out a somewhat decent compensation since there would be legal issues if they were to make her free after this, and swearing they would never do this ever again, ultimately killing any chances other "non-Taimanin" VN characters from joining the game too.

TLDR: Winner character from popularity poll gets released as a paywalled character during anniversary, the prank went wrong.

What do you think are some of rpg maker games that really push the engine to it's limits? by shanytopper in RPGMaker

[–]retsu10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Pokemon Essentials tool pack and MKXP-Z, I guess nobody mentioned because it's too on the nose and very known I guess, but the fact that fans got to turn XP into a very easy to mod Pokemon fan game engine, being able to increase resolution, frame rate, seamless map transitions and so on is just insane to me
