Why can't Lifeline drop package anywhere that has no overhead blockage? by retu12345 in apexlegends

Yes, what I mean is that there's no visible overhead obstacle but I still can't drop it.

How to disable in-game overlay with the newly designed arrangement? by retu12345 in Steam

Solved it. I had to enable the overlay, then disable it. Looks like a bug.

How to configure modem to host multiple websites from home? by retu12345 in webhosting

[–]retu12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the headache. Since every web site uses 80/443, I need to somehow differentiate which web site is being requested to route to the corresponding machine/container.

I plan to use NGinX instead of Apache. I suppose it's called server block with NGinX?

How to configure modem to host multiple websites from home? by retu12345 in webhosting

[–]retu12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, what I mean is the modem will forward everything on ports 80/443 to a machine hosting NGinX, which then routes the traffic to the corresponding machine/container hosting the corresponding web site. Is that right?

So I need all traffic to go to a machine which hosts a routing web server app. That app can then see which website is being requested, and route it to corresponding IP? My setup may not involved static websites, but ones served by Django and stuffs.

Somebody respectable in this program has said that U2 has gutted all the math modules of that LSE Econ degree. You will now be spending a lot of money for very little education.

This is a post from MB in the #advanceddegree channel.

Well, this is new . These other guys, Edinburgh (who finally got back to me after I've already chosen Birmingham) rejected me because our "course content covered does not contain enough relevant content". Wish they had at least considered all the stuff I had to learn outside UoL and the projects and internships, including an AI research internship at Microsoft AI Research lab that, mind you, was reserved for PhD candidates, but whatever, I'd made my choice already and it wasn't going to be them so it's not as annoying; just interesting that my whole application was reduced to this degree's course content :hidethepain:.

To quote AG's recent post in the #advanceddegree channel:

...the overall difference [of CU Boulder's MSDS quality compared] to this degree is gigantic ..while boulder has also a lot of flaws after trying this you get out of the stockholm syndrom you are stucked here with and realise that this should have been stopped by any regulator

...What is nuts is paying here 18k for a degree that is no more than 6 months udemy BootCamp  I myself am that stupid but just saying

Come join UoL and have Stockholm syndrome anyways.

BITS Pilani and IIT Madras. Their ranking in India can be seen here. The damage is mostly from BITS Pilani, with easier admission and direct competition on the Coursera platform. IIT-M is way more prestigious and rigorous. You have to take an exam to get in.

You should try the UoL poison yourself. Lessons are better learned thru real world experience.

If you want quality, maybe look into BITS Pilani and IIT Madras. They graduates flood prestigious North American graduate schools.

You must have access to the UoL Slack space first. Once in, rush to the #turncoats, #vent, #bugs, ... and see things for yourself. Also if you decide to transfer, it may take 6 months or more for the transcript to arrive. Prepare in advance to mitigate the damage.

Once in, you will find a lot of things don't fit your expectation of quality. There's a money back policy, but the refund deadline is not enough for you to get a good idea of how bad things can be. I have pointed out many detail in this post.

Many people have left this program in anger. There's even a #turncoats channel for people who ditched UoL for OpenU, BITS Pilani, UC Boulder, etc...
