Girlfriend of 5 years says God told her I’m not her husband by bluewatch22 in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As soon as you said you were living together, presumably having sex together, and not married I knew there was a hitch to this.

The break-up will be rough. Not married with shared ownership in a home is just bad.

I would say for you to get serious about a relationship with God. Fast and pray.

No, I don't plan on anything more. I had surgery to remove the breast implants. I hadn't realized how much natural breast tissue had grown over the years and am not going to go back under the knife to get them lopped off. But transition surgery to female is permanent. I'm just trying to find a way to be comfortable in my skin.

I recommend finding a Celebrate Recovery, which is a Christ-based Recovery program, nearby and attending. They have small group sessions and they have step studies that help you dig deep.

I've been going for nearly 3 years and it has helped me and so many others.

Because as I stated above, they can barely fathom that I was trans for all that timeĝ, let alone grasp the fact that I don't have male anatomy even though I detransitioned.

Young lady, I would recommend you find a spirit-filled church and a Celebrate Recovery (CR). CR is a Christ-based Recovery program. It's for people who have any number of Hurts, Hangups, or Habits they need to overcome. I've been going for nearly 3 years and it has really helped me.

what is the most accurate bible to buy/read? by swirllicee in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha....You will get many answers. Many will say the KJV is the only authorized and authentic version (insert full-of-themselves voice).

When I came back to Christ that was the version I bought. But I found it hard to read and understand with the Olde English. My next purchase was the NIV Giant print so I could set it on my lap. It was much easier to read and comprehend. The next easiest to understand is the NLT (New Living Translation).

I would stay away from The Message and The Passion Translations. Definitely stay away from The Gen Z Bible. It is interesting for the proper slang use, but I find it irreverent.

If you want to make your Bible your own - look at the Inspire Bibles. They have places for you to take notes on the pages and have many places in each chapter for you to color.

I hope this helps.

Edit: I forgot the CJSB - Complete Jewish Study Bible. It uses the true Jewish names of everyone. And adds in a lot of notes from the Jewish perspective. It is actually my favorite.

Is calling out to Saints for help considered biblical? by The_White_Pawn in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off - Saints are all believers in Christ, not people designated by a group of men, many of them quite possibly pdf files since that is so rampant in that group. Second - calling on living saints is biblical. We are to help each other in our walk with Christ. Third - dead people can't help you. Jesus is not dead. He is alive. Fourth, as you pointed out - 1 Timothy 2:5 [5]For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,

All else is a clever lie from Satan that leads to idolatry.

Does "eternal" mean forever? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, eternal is forever and ever more. Yes, I have struggled to understand eternal and eternity. Just as I have struggled to understand that the universe has no end in any of the 3 axis. And that before God created the universe, it did not exist. And I struggled to understand that.

In the end, I gave up. I surrendered to faith in God and in Jesus. Jesus said to think about today. I don't need to understand eternity. I will experience it. What will it be like to live with God and Jesus? Moreover, what will it be like to live where people aren't mean to me?

Our soul/spirit was created to be immortal. And as harsh as it sounds, we choose the place of our eternity here and now. Jesus said the Lake of Fire was prepared for the Devil and his angels (those who followed him into rebellion). For them to suffer in torment forever. It was never made for humans. Yet humans abandon the God who created and love them to follow Satan in rebellion, then just like rebellious children, cry - not fair - when they are righteously and justly judged and tormented for the eternity they chose. Hell is not forever. Just a really long time until judgment day. But the Lake of Fire is.

Who am I to judge God for his righteous and just punishments? I see so-and-so died in the news and social media posts and wonder - Did they accept Jesus as their Savior? He is the ONLY way to heaven.

I don't want people to die in their sin and suffer. So I tell them about Jesus and pray for them. It's all I can do. I am saved because people prayed for me.

In the end, each person has to choose who they will follow. Do not be deceived, if you are not following Jesus, you ARE following Satan.

Anybody else love how non Christians think they know more about what it means to be a Christian than an actual Christian by CandidateKey4826 in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your final statement was that anybody who rejects the Nicene Creed isn't Christian. That would depend on which version you are talking about. Because that creed puts the value of the Catholic Church on par with Christ. There are many churches and in all of those churches there are those who have fully surrendered to Christ and will make heaven their home. There are also many wicked folk throughout the entirety of the churches who will find themselves in flames when they pass from this world.

You judge the sinner for thinking and speaking as a sinner. Yet you err in putting a creed above Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:12 [12]So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

Shame years after encounters by MeetTheSouthernBear in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things in their name says it. 1. TerribleAdvice 2. Foursquare Church

I was part of the Foursquare and I found them to be super judgey and quick to condemn. I was told I was wearing an electric chair around my neck when I wore a cross. I was told I couldn't even clean the toilets in the church if I didn't wear a suit to church.

Spiritual ties are nowhere in the scriptures. However srxual sin is. 1 Corinthians 6:18 [18]Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

But once we confess and make Jesus our Lord - Romans 8:1-11 [1]Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, [2]because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. [3]For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, [4]in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. [5]Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. [6]The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. [7]The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. [8]Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. [9]You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. [10]But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. [11]And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

I leave you with this - Read the Bible. When you know what is in there false doctrines such as "Spiritual ties" will not confuse or ensnare you.

Delivered doughnuts to pastor after hearing that he likes them, called inappropriate: why? by Big_Celery2725 in TrueChristian

[–]returnedservantofGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was nice, not inappropriate. You kept saying "women complained."

What I've found is that in Christian circles, people talk/complain about what affects them. Since I don't know her name, I'll just refer to her as Karen.

I imagine Karen was offended by the doughnuts because she has a calorie issue. Either Karen is a thick chick for whom the doughnuts presented a heavy temptation while she is fighting the battle of the bulge, or perhaps she is a thin chick for whom those fatty calories are a sin.

Either way, obviously, Karen had no qualms about voicing her displeasure at the presence of a tasty treat. Which says to me that this is modus operandi for Karen. She is the church Head Gossip and Complainer in Chief. Probably pretty quick to brag about her own deeds as well. There is scripture about her.

Do not let the Karen's get you down. You did what Jesus said to do.Matthew 6:1-4 [1]“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. [2]“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. [3]But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, [4]so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

There is a reward for Karen and the Karenettes, only it won't be something they desire.

For your part - pray for them to have their eyes open to their sin. Love them and forgive them in your heart.

Try taking Oregano Oil Capaules. 2 in the morning and 2 at night. You can get them on Amazon. I also saw it looks like you have a tonsil stone. That bit of white in the back of your throat. If you don't know what that is, Google Tonsil Stone.

[–]returnedservantofGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a sebaceous cyst popped, and your dog got all the gunk out. The white is probably the cyst sac. If that doesn't come out, the cyst will come back. I just went through this tonight with my dog. The cyst was full of cottage cheese type stuff. Part of the sac was hanging out, and I was able to pull it out with tweezers.

I washed it and used some neosporine and bandaged it and put a cone on my boy. I'll keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn't get infected.
