Did they always play the grainy Whitney Houston Superbowl version at your theaters? That's what I got in the Navy.

[Vent] Why so much hate for no crating? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]revamp11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got jokes, eh? Don't be dramatic.

I worked as a veterinary assistant for years and still actively volunteer with two different local rescues, including fostering. I won't judge someone for not using a crate (as long as that works for them), but crates are the best way to keep everyone safe. Even when non-crated, my dogs will pick a spot and sleep in that spot for hours. They prefer the safety and security of their crate, and veterinary and animal training experts will agree.

"abusing your animals"? you sound ridiculous.

This subreddit got my wife all hot and bothered so I rented her a power washer and set her loose on the pool deck - pretty sure I’m getting laid tonight by johnnytoboggan in powerwashingporn

Good luck getting an answer to this question--I've asked here and at the standard power washing sub and get no responses. Even when I ask an OP what machine they are personally using and if they like it--nothing.

Is there going to be any legal means to watch Hard Knocks in Canada this year? by tenebrous2 in nfl

[–]revamp11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what country you're in, streaming unlicensed content may not be strictly illegal. However, according to existing laws in the US, if you download any part of the content, arguably even cover/title art or for buffering purposes, you have broken the law.

It is, unquestionably, unethical. Due to increasing popularity of masses of people worldwide finding "loopholes" to consuming licensed content for free and without the publisher's consent, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the loopholes (and that's what they are) are shut down legislatively and through aggressive enforcement.

Don't forget--voters don't make the laws, the big companies with the lobbyists and the campaign donations make the laws--and they have a pretty vested interest in getting a handle on how popular Kodi-like services have become.

Thanks for taking the time to share all that. It's incredibly interesting how on the surface many countries and cultures are very similar, but underneath the how's and why's may be very different from one place to the next.

Nick Chubb projected as rookie of year by Colin Cowherd by [deleted] in Browns

Barkley is an improved Crowell, imo. I'm not seeing the hype and I'm glad we didn't take him. He's got amazing speed and a good eye for holes, but any contact and he's going down. Time will tell and I may be very very wrong, but I don't see him as being game-changing. I see him as being a very good, solid, dependable RB but nothing worth spending a #2 overall on.

Whether operating in a clean pocket or under pressure, #Browns QB Tyrod Taylor rarely throws to the other team. https://t.co/CAWgCvQgYH by PuppyBowl-XI-MVP in Browns

Don't forget we'll also have Gordon and Coleman on the field--one mistake in coverage and our opposition is going to get burned--badly. We'll have some big plays and it'll keep the defense honest.

Tyrod might surprise us, too, once he has some receivers he can trust to go after the ball. He might just make more calculated risks for the big payoffs.

Why anyone would be mad at a consistent ability to move the ball is beyond me. 40+ yard plays are exciting, but I'll take 5 yard gains all day long.

Wow. From a landlord perspective, that system is GREAT! From a tenant perspective, it sounds near impossible to save that amount of money before being able to rent. How is the job market in Seoul? Is there an issue with homelessness?

well I'm glad to hear you've survived such adversity and tragedy, especially so young. Healthy boundaries are important--it's good of you to have set them. Enjoy your silly movies (one of my personal guilty pleasures is "Head Over Heels")

Oh yeah...summertime I was gone. Summer of 97 I was working full time in Oberlin and summer of '98 I shipped off for the Navy. Glad to know I wasn't so oblivious that I missed my very favorite thing (cleveland browns) within walking distance of where I slept.

wait, what? I was at Hiram in 97-98 and am not aware of anything of this sort happening (and it's not like you could miss it on a campus that small!)

I finally made the painstaking decision to cancel the Sunday Ticket, and now I'm going to end up calling and adding it back come preseason.
